Grand Moff Niko
Sorry - but - What are the different pouchs for ?
TD-1536
Sorry - but - What are the different pouchs for ? What they're really for, is pure speculation and fiction. George wanted the troops to have a military look to them, so he requested various pouches, back packs and rank pauldrons. The exact quote is in "The Making of..." book. But, these have been identified as replicas of the same pouches used in the film. MP-40, Stolla Wien, and the smaller ones, which I'm not sure of exactly. http://www.looksirdroids.com/replica_pouches.htm http://www.looksirdroids.com/replica_po ... canvas.htm

Rolf
Here are my two pouches. I was planning on putting black shoe polish to the brown one to darken it a bit: They look nice, but not the accurate mp 40 model used in anh. But its also cool to play whit the suit, and get nice looking gear on it. Be careful whit the shoe polish, it might dye your suit too. I have paint some whit humbrol, hold up good. And don´t dye the armor. Cheers trooper .

Rolf
Quote: They look nice, but not the accurate mp 40 model used in anh. I'm not sure what you mean? J There are many MP40 models used in ww2 by the german army. Here is a look . http://www.looksirdroids.com/replica_po ... canvas.htm And here some more. http://www.looksirdroids.com/replica_pouches.htm http://www.looksirdroids.com/davin_replica.htm I have been trying to get the pouches for year, they use in anh. Most of them i own are ww2 used ones, and the same they used in anh. Some of them are replicas. Its mostly the ww2 german canvas 3 pocket + small toll box, you can buy as repo on sites. Here is a few for you http://www.re-enactmentshop.com/p_german_heer.htm http://www.worldwar2-militaria.com/inde ... onet_Frogs http://www.ima-usa.com/index.php/cPath/14_84
tk2230
The guy at the army/navy store said they were authentic leather Norwegian MP38/40 Mag Pouchs? I figured they looked close enough so I bought them. J
Rolf
The guy at the army/navy store said they were authentic leather Norwegian MP38/40 Mag Pouchs? I figured they looked close enough so I bought them. J Copy that. The ones you have are authentic ww2 ones, but not the mp38/40 pouch version you see in anh. The mp38/40 pouch have many different looks. I don´t how many, but i will say at least about 20 or 30 different versions. In lether, in canvas/africa- sand/green- field/ pilot- blue etc. Here you see my stuff. Basic you need: 1.The ww2 wien stolla mp38/40 in leather, in the right corner. 2.The ww2 MP 40 in canvas, 3 pocket + small tool box (in sand/green canvas dye black) in the left corner. 3. The ww2 french pouch in black leather, down left corner. 4. The small ww2 spanish black leather pouches, down right corner. Hope you can use the info mate .
