Cut out the underage girls and in this case it seems pretty apt. Although calling someone a ******* is somewhat out of line, don't you think? Doug just wants his item that he paid for, and regardless of who it was though it was under the "SciFire" banner, that and considering that John himself got involved & promised shipping back in July I am surprised and disappointed to see it is still unresolved.

I am surprised myself.

Calling someone a ******* for posting a comparison between my friends and a child pornographer is not out of line.

I'm sure that "Doug" is very upset, & I really empathize.

However, he did not buy directly from Sci-Fire.

He bought from ebay

His fight is really with Bill Phippen

I cannot speak for John, but I will contact him and see what I can do

...I sent JB an email regarding this after I rec'd another PM from Doug...

...I understand him being upset with "Sci-Fire" but there are 2 sides to this issue...

...TeamPhippen did sell HF for a while thru the SF site (any sales issues that went wrong I can understand being upset with that occured thru the website) and then Bill took it upon himself to make guns on the side without anyones consent and began selling on eBay...these sales are quite honestly 'buyer beware'...what Bill did was wrong...correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe the eBay sales were directly linked with SF, any images used were used without consent...even I do not use them when I sell my personal items on eBay...it took JB literally months to repo the missing molds...and even then some pieces and parts are missing and had to be redone...

...I am not trying to make excuses for JB but what is he suppose to do here???...go after everyone that sells a HF gun and monitor eBay 24/7???

...the only thing that JB can be held accountable for is that he did say he would ship him a gun to cover Bill's lack of judgement...and for ever trying to help Bill out and allowing his access to SF web sales...

I've got no complaints about sci-fire and have never said so (never dealt with them). However TP did represent themselves as authorized Hyperfirm sellers (and were in the past - why I thought it was ok) so you can understand my residual negative feelings (I have to take their (SF) word that they had no associations with TP). I think a thread from sci-fire specifically regarding who should and should not be dealt with regarding Hyperfirm sales would help folks in the future and eliminate any confusion.

I am only wanting what was promised to me by JB (since the middle of June). It's feeling a lot like the dog ate my homework with the "I have it -- it's done, but for one reason or another I just can't get it in the mail". It's stressful and maddening for me as you can imagine, and I think it would go a looong way in the positive PR area if it just showed up on my front porch. I will yell loud and clear either way (pos or neg) regarding the final outcome, in other words if John comes through I will praise his efforts and if it falls apart I will of course comment on that as well.

Let me add, I appreciated folks coming to my defense, but there is no need for name calling. This thread is to keep people informed as to who to watch out for and who is or is not a stand-up person and to let you know the ulimate outcome.

My comparison of the brand name "Sci-fire" to "Star Fortress" was regarding reliability. I've heard all the allegations regarding "Star Fortress" past history and without getting into all that one thing has been consistently clear, and it's that they're unreliable. If you or anyone else took that the wrong way, my apologies.

Now, let me address all the folks behind what I and many others refer to as "Sci-fire" and "hyperfirm". They are hand-in-hand brand names that everyone in the 501st has come to associate with each other. It's a strong name with great products. How you guys want to run it, is up to you. However, I think it would be in everyone's best interests to have a little more organization, and some official point-of-contact for all sales and public relations, in order to prevent issues like the one in this thread.

...there is some irony here in that I have personally posted on this forum and others that people should only buy from SLAVEFIVE or SLAVE1PILOT...I was flamed for it, no need to get into it...

...I have in the past come to the aid of many that have had delivery issues, at my own monetary expense...I do this since JB is my friend...he gets overwhelmed and he has a big heart in trying to help people...case in point Bill...

...the gun runs that have occured with myself or nate have had ZERO delivery issues...sort of sets a trend does it not???...and it leaves me speechless that people still buy from TeamPhippen/Bill/sportsjunkey...or whatever he calls himself...or better yet buying more from the guy with zero delivery!...

TD1536-...I personally take great offense when you simply lump all of SF dealings as "unreliable"...yes you did say great product however in saying this you dont even speak of the recent sales that have been spearheaded by Nate and Myself...CT.net ring a bell???...that was a HUGE run and it was essentially flawless...yes Sci-Fire has had some issues and any non-delivery is a bad one...

...People plain and simple you know who to buy from to get results...threads like this suck but it also helps to bring the problems to the surface for Nate and myself to try and fix...and hopefully new recruits will gain valuable info as the the reputable people flying the Sci-Fire name...

...Perhaps the Admins could make a sticky showing point of contact sales for Sci-Fire...that way they could contact us if they see an eBay auction or whatever and ask before they purchase...

At this point, I'd say the only real discussion on the table is the fact that John said he'd ship a replacement out shortly after July 2. Granted he didn't have to do that, but he stated that he would so where is it? What happened?

Good news folks, my Hyperfirm arrived! A big thanks goes out to Lewis on this one, once he stepped in it only took a very short time to get this. He went way above the call and beyond his scope of reponsiblity to handle this and I appreciated it greatly.

So for those who have followed this and for those who are researching getting a Hyperfirm here is a rundown and some recommendations.

Middle Finger Award, goes to Bill Phippen ebay ID(s) Was: teamphippen Now is: sportzjunky55 -- for taking my money, not shipping my item, no communication, lieing on his feedback to cover his ***, screwing with his friend John Bush and damaging the reputation of Hyperfirm by representing he was practically Hyperfirm himself leading me to getting screwed over resulting in me having to drag this to the boards - yuck! (FYI, Lewis has said he got the "unauthorized" molds back from Bill so there should be no more available from him.)

Big Heart but Sadly No Follow Through Award, goes to John Bush -- (nice guy and very cordial) he stepped in to offer to make good on what Bill (his friend) screwed me out of, but in the end John was just too busy to follow through with resolving this one (maybe too many logistical issues).

Hero of the Day Award, goes to Lewis Ervoes -- (nice guy, no nonsense, and a bit of a potty mouth as my son would say -lol) after a couple PM's he went out of his way (literally 65 miles out) to make, trim, paint and ship me my gun. Thanks again Lewis!

Recommendations from Lewis himself...

Only deal with the following:

SLAVEFIVE = Lewis Ervoes

SLAVE1PILOT = Nathan Mutter

Sci-Fire website...emails are fwd to JB and then to me...you will get an email from slavefive(at)cox.net or lewis(at)victormedical.com

Anytime you buy from eBay or private sales on forums you are at risk unless it is from Nate or myself...if you have any concerns 'dont buy it!'...Just ask us and we will get back to you...and in all honesty so many people know us and have our phone contact info that it can be verified at some point...better safe then sorry...

...a side note is that these are not only our forum names but also our eBay user IDs...

It's true - as long as you deal with Lewis or Nathan...your prop will be done!

I have been working and chatting with Lewis for quite some time, and finally my own Hyperfirm is ready for me. (Ok..it's my 3rd Hyperfirm - but hey, it's ready!)

Lewis has been a great one with communication and I am pleased with the transaction.
