  1. Wow. That looks great! I thought ours looked good but this one really looks incredible. Awesome job you guys!
  2. Yeah. It looks like we will do a run of these helmets and kits. I'll get the mold done first then put up a run list. LOL. I'm seriously surprised that anyone is interested in this. We like it but it's like a Mom liking her own child. I'm glad you are all interested and thanks very much for the compliments. At this point, slavefive (Lewis) and I will only be directing the short and the film.
  3. Yeah. I'd say that a ten helmet run would be okay to do. There is an issue though. Currently, the helmet mold has the nose grills vs. the frown. We've never made a master with the frown. We've alway made the helmets with the frowns as we went. Let's do an interest poll here to see which version of helmet you would all prefer. This run will include the following: 1. Helmet 2. Earcap with antennas 3. Frown stencil for marking 4. Tube stripes stencils 5. Lenses for eyes 6. Laser cut foam padding for interior of helmet 7. Edge molding for bottom of helmet 8. Shoulder bells with padding
  4. We're in the process of remolding the helmet with some slight corrections. We were thinking of offering these helmets if enough people were interested. I personally don't think that enough people will be interested since this is completely a fan made design but we had to offer. We got some really bad screen caps from Witch Mountain.... Imperial Commandos
  5. LOL. Oh my gosh! I'm glad you have those pictures. I'm going to put some of them back up on the blog site. Thanks very much!!!! I'm actually surprised that anyone has any pictures of these.
  6. Holy smokes! Those are the older designs. We never ended up making them. We tried to keep the helmets more uniformed in design. We did those before Episode III released. LOL. Man I can't believe you still have that picture. After the original website crashed, I lost tons of the old stuff. That's awesome to see that picture. The scout design we ended up with came from the blue one second from left third row down.
  7. LOL. Yeah. It was a bit on the typical side. Not horrible but not good by any means. I put the blog site up today. It's still under construction though. Imperial Commandos Site
  8. Heh. Well, we're definitely looking for people to fill the shoes. Unfortunately, there is a lot of expectations that go along with making this movie. We started working on this a long time ago and caught a few eyes and there's a ton of fan films out there with some great quality. We hope this ends up meeting the mark.
  9. I'm neither....LOL. At this point, none of us will be in the costumes for the movie. We are talking to actors to do this. We will be casting the people based on height / weight for this. Currently, Slavefive has the Argos and I have the Lt. Rospin (green). As much as I'd like to be the one in the movie, I believe that someone else will look much better in the costume.
  10. LOL. No. We went and saw the movie this weekend and there he was giant on the screen Captain Argos and Lt. Rospin. We were shocked that they made it into the final cut since they were having issues with licensing with LFL.
  11. LOL. Did anyone notice the Imperial Commandos in Witch Mountain?
  12. It's funny....the Imperial Commandos project has been hanging in the air for a long time now. We've just gotten back to working on it recently and actually setup a new website for it. It's still under construction but we're getting there.
  13. LOL. I've never seen this thread before. We actually have the armor and are working on the script again. We'll hopefully have the website up and going shortly. We've just been ultra busy. We can post some more pictures of the armor for you if you like. It's just some fan made stuff we made up though.
  14. Oh jeez.....I asked you guys not to admit him here..... I agree with Lee on this. The riveted strap is different on every pauldron. Some are closer than others but they all differ.
  15. That's friggin' cool. It's about time they made something that actually looks decent. What size are these to be?
  16. Thanks guys. Lee, Art and Gino are really the ones who are working on this thing. I'm just middle manning the project right now. If you get a chance, check out Lee's site regularly. He is adding a bunch more stuff to his line of costume stuff he is doing. He should be logging in here soon and getting his deployment after his TD number. Lee and Art made the screen accurate pouches for the run in December. www.imperialoutfitters.net
  17. I just wanted to update everyone on the project. We will be pulling the first prototype out of the mold this weekend. The molds for the scopes are done. Pictures to come Sunday. We've ordered only enough armatures to be cut and welded for this first go round. Sorry... Check with Slavefive if you want to get on this list. Cheers.
  18. Not sure yet since we have not determined the proper material to use. I will let everyone know when we get a tad closer.
  19. Sci-fire is working with Lee (sewing imperialoutfitters.net), Art (pushy boss/QC) and Gino (templates/QC). I, of course, am stuck with the autocad/laser cutting/goffer position. This position in the film industry is called a........ "PA". Anyway, two weeks ago, we started this project and made up a prototype first pass based on Gino's pattern. The pattern is really great right out of the gate. One of the most difficult parts we will be facing is the materials aspect. The materials are crucial to making this pauldron look correct because it determines how much it will wrinkle, the amount of pillowing that shows in the quilting and how it "drapes". This was our first pass. I apologize about our model. Lee is ugly but he sews very well. We, of course, started by converting the hand pattern, supplied by Gino, into an autocad format. This will allow us a few advantages. 1. Repeatability - In the cutting stage since these parts will be laser marked and cut. The marking marks where the stitch lines should go. 2. Speed - The laser cutting will allow Lee to spend his time sewing and not cutting. Since this prototype, we have shopped the garment district in Los Angeles and brought back some really good vinyl test samples. We'll keep you updated. Stage 1: Patterns Stage 2: Prototype v1.0
  20. I see that Slavefive has opened the Official sign up thread. Holy cow! These things are going faster than I expected. I guess I better get the waterjet armatures going...LOL.
  21. I just wanted to give you guys an update....The scopes have been molded.... We will probably do the first pulls this weekend...
  22. Alright, if we can't get one of these radios then we will 3D model it with intent of having it injection molded. This will ensure the crispness of the knobs and speaker grill. The dials will be made in layers with the multiple colors evident. I'm very excited about this project. This should be a quick fun one.
  23. With the new information, maybe we can get some specs if not a real unit and finally get some accurate dimensions for the packs.
  24. Rocko.....I don't think you made it on the list before we closed it out. Sorry about that.
  25. The pouch sets will begin shipping tomorrow. There will be a second run but Lee will be offering them at a much higher price. He really took it in the shorts on this run. LOL. It happens....
