troopermaster
Hi guys, Can't resist posting a few pics of my hero helmet that I've been working on. I started this ages ago but never got around to finishing it and now I have new moulds cast and just doing some fine tuning before the final version is ready. Hope you like it

TD-1536
tease. BTW Paul, I seam to recall a long time ago you mentioned a type of silicone rubber you were using to make your negative molds which you could melt down and reuse over again. What brand was that because I'm going to need a lot here soon.

troopermaster
Glad you guys like it I've still got a few things to iron out but I think it's looking good so far. Mike, The stuff I used was called Gelflex and it's a hot melt rubber that comes in two grades. troopermaster
Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments Mario, I used the Gelflex to make the moulds instead of silicone which is very expensive. The Gelflex can be cut up after use and remelted to make more moulds...good stuff. I don't know if you could use the stuff to form over, at least not the one I used which was the softer type but there is a firm Gelflex available which might do? I know there are high temperature silicones which are used for skin moulds for vacuum forming.
