Last night at work i tried my hand at bending a backpack frame.i found out that a half inch conduit bender doesnt have a tight enough radius to it.the half inch conduit workrs great,i just need to find a bender that has the rite radius, then i could make abunch of frames cheap.it took me about fifteen minutes to bend up this one,i forgot that the top of the frame is straight tubes and doesnt connect.plus i made the heel part to big so i cut it down and reconnected it.the next one i do will be just like the BS backpack frame, this one was done on a whim and i bent it from memory using no example to work from. Posted Image and in a hurry..

Ahhh, let me know if you figure something out! I should have posted, I grabed a lenght of EMT about 3 weeks ago, and layed hands on a pipe bender too with plans to do just what you did. But I hit the same snag that the pipe bender didn't have a small enough bend radius.

I guess I could make my open pipe bender with what ever radius I wanted, but I've kind of stalled lately only getting work done :(
