Keeping weathering from wearing off?

I recently finished up my sandy a month ago and used a mix of acrylic paint and fullers earth to weather my kit. I was curious if anyone would recommend using a sealant or type of clear coat to lock in the weathering from coming off down the road.

I'm not worried about the acrylic paint too much it seems pretty strong and hard to take off without some concerted rubbing, but for the fullers earth would it be a good idea to add something to keep it from coming off?

I used the hair spray method of coating the parts then adding the fullers on then another coat to help lock it in but should more steps should be taken?

I mostly used acrylic in my final version of weathering, but initially used sand and hairspray.

It works, and I don't think you need to do anything further to seal it.

It does remove with soap and water if necessary

I use old fashioned AquaNet hairspray in the purple can. The weathering on My boots has held up to the wet grass at Balloon Fiesta.

I also use it as a fixative for touch ups. And it can be washed off.
It never failed my big hair in the 80s, when it rained or snowed.
