SCRIBBLER
@ VinceNice work so far! We do ask that you continue to compare notes and ask for guidance from these previous SWAT Applicants who have attempted this particular Screen TD (CANTINA CAPTAIN) and were cleared & activated. Their advice will definitely help you reach your goal properly:MR_HAIR LORD TRISTE As a reminder, we always stress PATIENCE during this process as we pay more and more attention to the gear of each new SWAT applicant. The MEPD Senior Commanders and myself will give your armor / gear a full inspection and review. Some details may definitely be missed and re-checked, but we will try to catch them on every pass given until you are cleared and ready to join the Special Weapons & Tactics Team, Brother! This is shaping up to be to be a challenging project and one of the toughest. Hang in there!Let's continue...MEPD SWAT OFFICER: APPLICATION REVIEW (PART 2)Name: Vince McGannLegion ID #: TD-21112Forum Name: Vf2112Garrison: Southern Cross** ANH SANDTROOPER SELECTED **: CANTINA CAPTAINI.) The 'Joker Grin' needs to be reshaped a bit. (see refs) 3.) Work on the weathering and overall details of the helmet. We will still need to see those posted with your SWAT application. We still ask that you post pics of yourself in full head to toe armor & gear showing Front, Back, Sides. with backpack on and off. As requested in the first review, What is the make of the armor? This will help in assisting you with what mods are needed. The ab section will definitely need work. We recommend that you mod the area and add the TD Ab insert for a cleaner look. As stated before, I can review and comment on what I can see so far with the pics available... 1.) The chest weathering pattern matches that of the 'STOP THAT SHIP" Trooper. You may want to refer to the pics of the SWAT Officers that were deployed using that Trooper as a reference guide for weathering and some of the details. 2.) Make sure that the shoulder straps are elastic / not canvas. (show pics) 3.) Your waist pouches are fine, but you may need to mod or replace your shoulder canvas pouch to match the screen version in shape and appearance. 4.) As stated in the helmet section, please work on the weathering and overall details of your armor and gear. Take your time with this. Use the references of the SWAT members who chose this TD before you. Their assistance will definitely help! ** You are on the right track and off to a great start despite the red flags. SCRIBBLER
@ Vince - No worries, Brother! Nothing like earning it. You'll feel better at the end of this process. The important thing is that you heed all requests made in the review threads. Just a quick response to the 'lines'. Just have them look a little smoother / tighter. A little more solid / not as squiggly.

Vf2112
Question; I believe the top of the lab pipe is trumpeted not square like those passed for swat previously And the bottom doesn't have a smaller tube coming out Am I wrong This is how I have it but I think I should cut bottom off and trumpet the top I've lengthened strap but is it to long ? Correct dial on radio Traps/tears thinned n evened out better DLT weathered
Vf2112
Trying to get armour pics happening but with kids n extremely cold weather and catching someone to take photos all at the same time it's Kaos here But have still to modify ab plate so hopefully soon sorry
mr_hair
Vince, with the radio dial, if you cut out a piece of clear plastic & stick it over the top, it gives a really nice finish to the radio. Stops it from looking quite so much like a sticker. I cut mine a little bigger than the decal so that it sits a bit further away to give it more depth. Just clear plastic from some packaging will do mate.
SCRIBBLER
@ Vince - Excellent progress! 1.) Lab Pipe - This is acceptable. No need to cut. But, you can if you choose to do so. 2.) Radio Dial - Looks much better. *Also, James's advice on the clear plastic will be a nice touch to the overall look, but isn't required. 3.) Shoulder Pouch - Strap Length is perfect 4.) Traps & Tears - Perfect. 5.) DLT-19 - Spot on. * Note - All these mods definitely put you on the right track. We will wait for the full body shots of you wearing the armor and gear. I'll also be away this weekend and will continue reviewing your gear first thing Monday morning if you have any new pics to share.Have a great weekend, Mate! Beren
Vince, It's nice to see the entire armor all together. Some of your parts appear to be a bit loose, notably the thighs and shins. Have you considered trying to improve the taper on the legs to get a better fit?
Vf2112
Hi Beren They actually fit really well i think I had thighs a little high And the calves are pretty snug too No padding at all like some use Anything else that stands out? Any help is great I'm waiting for word on chest weathering pattern and weather it needs lightening before I match the rest of armour as sometimes you can't tell in real life you need that photo view
Vf2112
I have to say I love my armour with it's current improvements and can't wait to see what more can be done to make it better for swat status

mr_hair
Well, I would make the thigh shape a bit more screen accurate, like this... ...but it's really for Scribbler to say, not me
