Elegance
Hi guys, So after spendind a little time with Craig's lovely RS setup Im getting the real urge to update my lid from my old 1 piece and match up with my FX armour. Im just a little concerned that my armour weathering is made up with actual sand so its not going to match and I cant seem to find any info on weathering with sand. I bought my armour from another garrison member and its about 3rd hand now built orgionally by "Leigh Lewis" who I dont think is active at the moment. Has anyone used/seen/got info on using a sand technique? Thanks
trooper1
Well, not sure of the question exactly. Your not actually weathering with Sand because it is clean, technically. The person probably used paints, then added sand for some color change, and depth. I use oil base paints for my weathering, then grout and sand for the depth. Some use hairspray and sand, or a 3m type spray contact adhesive and sand. Hope this helps.
Elegance
Yes Jay, that does help, many thanks. In simple I just really wanted to know how to weather the new lid to the same style/colour of my armour.
