DarthChridan
I think you go the right way, Simon...it's really better if you take the remaining parts of tm as well. Keep it up...you did a good job so far and you have a good eye for the details. All the best
inglorious trooper
hey simon, looking great mate! i believe i was the one that first pointed out that the ear caps were white,i wish i had kept mt gob shut now as im going for the cantina serg. and its a big step to keep the ears unpainted and can imagine having to explain to a lot of folk about why there not painted lol!! Marcus and Simon, I reckon that although you are doing this for SWAT clearance (white ears) you'll need to paint them back to normal (grey) again after clearance for trooping. Knowing the UKG, questions will be asked if you try to troop without them. It will cause alot of heartache. Hope you understand I'm not trying to poopoo just wanting to avoid a fuss and commotion. Havoc6538
Not at all Nick. I've PM'd our GML about it already. Currently waiting for a response.
P3laton3
I have to say that the weathering you did on this armour is way better of many other amours I've seen so far!!! Hat off sir!!! No offence for the other guys but I loved the comparison pics and how much accurate you've been.

Really? the following sentences are just for very calm people and please read keeping in mind that there's a language gap (mine ) I wouldn't inflame people's feelings but shouldn't we raise a sort of upgrade among armourers and garrisons as is it already for EIB and Centurion status for the TKs? Things are changing and we're are pushing even more further the accuracy of our armours, why shouldn't they follow our standards? Now we can open another topic about this whitout hijacking the Havok6538 one

The bar that has been raised should stay there but knowing the UKG as I do I can see people getting funny about stuff like that. Myself and Brad caused a bit of concern at the weekend at MEM cos we refused to hold our boasters in our left hands like all the other TKs for the parade. We said that Sandies are right handed and I fully expected a reaction but there were just a few grunts. I might be wrong I just wanted to give you the heads up. SCRIBBLER
Hi, Simon! Thanks so much for your patience! This flu-bug was one of the worst I've ever experienced, but I'm happy to say that my strength is coming back. While I was 'out of it', I did get a chance to monitor your progress (when I was able to) and have been very impressed with your determination to produce the most accurate version of the selected trooper! trooper1
Very nicely done indeed. When you spoke of TM parts. That is a great idea. I did this with mine as well. Not quite the same reason, but I did for me!!! LOL I wanted the correct forearms, lower shins, and biceps, so I had TM make them and they were great!. Havoc6538
Cool. Thanks for the update Scribbler. I'm sorting out the simulated cover strips on the forearms this week. I have a local non-501st troop this weekend to give the costume a test run before Legoland the following week, so I need to get this finished. DirtyBoy
the only thing i can see right off the bat is the ab button strip....it should be shorter so the funnel shows. other than that looks fantastic
Havoc6538
Funnel? Do you mean the groove in the centre under the 3 buttons (as on RS and TM suits)? It's not present on this armour (yet!), I used the cover strip to cover the holes left by the TK ab buttons. Leave it with me, I can see something else I'd like to amend too... DirtyBoy
Lol, ya...sorry that was the first word that came to mind as I was running out the door. For some reason I thought I saw it at one point in your build. If you don't have that configuration I wouldn't worry about it. It was just something that really stood out when I looked over your build.
