Where to attach pouches

So for my build there is one ammo puounch on the shoulder and one on the hip. What's best to attach them to ?

For the shoulder would you attach to the backpack strap or the shoulder-bell strap ? For the hip is it best to slip it onto the belt ?

Hi Steven, in my case I have my shoulder pouch attached to my backpack strap.

Attached it with a black electric duct tape and it works great.

As for my hip pouch I have it inside my canvas belt, and it also it works just fine.

Same for me here. I used to attach my hip pouches to a small strap with snaps which I attached inside my armor.

But now I just slide 'em on most of the time..

Hip, I used the slip through the belt method. For the shoulder I use to use it attached to the pack but I found I always had to wear my pack. With se events that becomes a challenge. I now make it independent so it slips over the shoulder and has a small hidden strap tha attaches to the pauldron

The accurate way would be to attach the pouch to the pack strap, most of us have it that way. But other ways are acceptable too. It's up to what you like better.

Yeah mine is on the pack strap. Not solid though, it's attached with elastic, to allow it to flex and move.
