inglorious trooper
looks cool! are the thighs attached to them by velcro?
DirtyBoy
Yes, I run the opposing Velcro on the inside of the thighs....this gives me full adjustability when I'm trooping and will never fail

darthgrace
what your idea but instead of a belt just attach the straps to the ab plate?
DirtyBoy
what your idea but instead of a belt just attach the straps to the ab plate?Attaching to ab plate causes extra strain on your shoulders and the armor tends to drop. The thighs are the most mobile part of the armor and when they start to drop on a troop it becomes really uncomfortable. Having them independent really keeps them where they belong and reduces upper body stress
trooper1
Mine is about the same as Ricks, but I made mine out of 3" elastic for the belt, with velcro, and 1.5" elastic for the drops, with snaps to attach to the thighs. Cheap, and a lot of flexibility.
darthgrace
thanks guys. I will add suspenders to my belt tonight.
DirtyBoy
No problem man....you can use any type of belt. My recommendation is black military style with full adjustability
