  1. Facebook build group for mud trooper: https://www.facebook.com/groups/797583860451576/?ref=nf_target&fref=nf
  2. my 3 siphons.... Middle one going on my pack after mods, right one (vaccuformed @ross8008 siphon) going on my wife's pack, the modded gordonator siphon on the left may need a new home.
  3. Any thoughts on the jacket under the armor? I would assume maybe something similar to a WW2 British officer jacket? Probably not this, but something custom, like the shore trooper pants, inspired by ww2 uniform but different.
  4. Here is the link, its the same size as a boy scout merit badge https://www.etsy.com/listing/555821613/tatooine-merit-badge-patch-star-wars?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=Tatooine patch&ref=sr_gallery-1-2
  5. Found this patch on etsy! I think I will add it to the garrison cap I have coming.
  6. I’ve got the biceps 3D printed already! Same with belt and I have that pouch ready to go too! who want to donate the rest?!?!
  7. Looks more like Deathtrooper shoulders
  8. Great work! Glad to see more and more PO applications come in! A couple things I noticed that you may need to adjust before your review. 1. Are your gloves the rubber chemical gloves? They appear to be cloth or leather 2. The hand plates, are they hard plastic or the rubber latex kind, need to be the latex, or rubber kind 3. Your rivets on the side of your ab/kidney plate look to be a little large 4. Are your shoulders straps canvas or elastic? They should be elastic 5. It looks like you are missing the srapping system screws on your chest piece. 6. Your shoulder pouch may need to be swapped for a canvas pouch, Im not sure, thats up to the DOs And in general, I would tone down the weathering in a few spots. Maybe hit the darker patches with some light tan or unbleached titanium white. It will help sell it more as sand and dirt than wet mud. When it comes to Sandtrooper weathering, less is more is the best approach. I know it sounds like a lot, but they aren't too difficult, it will make your costume look that much better! Great work! Your blasters look great! Love that DLT19!
  9. Thanks! YES! The bottles have been eluding me! I can’t seem to find ones I like. Didn’t see a PM go through. I’ll keep an eye out for it!
  10. Well at this point I think the only parts I’m still using from when I started this thread are the mushroom caps, Tupperware lid, and the frame lol! Looks like I can build two packs now! New pack parts “Old” pack parts
  11. I’d love to get that color mixed! Need to paint up your trays!
  12. Not sure if he’s still selling frames or not. They pop up on eBay every once in a while @woodman is your best bet for radios. The TT version was a recast of that radio and is no longer available. Woodman also has seedtrays that are very accurate, but also @ross8008 has great seed trays too along with the siphon.
  13. Congrats trooper! Told you it would be an easy pass!
  14. Lee, not all of us are familiar with UKG traditions. We just enforce the same rules we always have. POs applications in the past have also asked the sticker to not be present, if that requires a second shoulder bell to swap out then thats unfortunately what it takes. PO is not required to be a member of the MEPD. However, we encourage everyone to have their costumes held to a higher standard, MEPD has traditionally been the accuracy nerd group. This may discourage people from going for higher levels, but we hope that there is some satisfaction in obtaining that level. Like I said in my previous post, the armor is top notch, the pack is great. The approval process will begin soon, all of these are suggestions from members to help. I understand the frustration in that certain garrison traditions don't mesh with rules of the legion and detachment. The command staff will discuss.
  15. Contact @ross8008 or find RWA creations on Facebook. Ross will help you out, he's a great guy and quick to respond.
  16. Before weathering: After the base weathering. Adding more detail spot weathering tonight. But this guy is just about ready for its first troop on Saturday! Also, these ears are temporary. I screwed up the back of the right ear, new ones on the way from RS. But they will do for now. Also the next set I will make them a bit thinner to match screen reference a little closer.
  17. All these requests are pretty standard for a P.O. review. The formal review hasn’t started yet, right now it’s just people trying to help out. Also we understand the UKG shoulder sticker, however it isn’t allowed for P.O. or for SWAT. So far your kit looks great, you have got the mark on pretty much everything. I think you’ll be a pretty easy pass but I will leave that up to the DOs. So hang in there, your review should start soon. PO is a high standard level of clearance. It is more like the FISD level 3 as we require many of the same armor details. SWAT is a beast on its own calling for 100% screen accuracy, the toughest level 3 in the legion.
  18. Looking good!! With sandtroopers weathering should follow the “less is more” rule. The screen used armor isn’t as heavily weathered as most think. You’re on the right track. Maybe tone down the dark spots with a little light tan, it will lighten the weathering in some spots and give it a cool layered look.
  19. With photobucket gone people are using Flickr or imugr to upload their photos. I personally have been using imugr for years because of how easy it is to manage. For those wanting to switch over Here is a rundown of how to use it. First you need an account, its free, and easy to set up. Next you can upload your photo, either drag it into your browser to click the upload button on the top left of the screen. I usually upload things privately, but you can upload public or private, whichever you like (public just submits it to the feed all the imgurians look at, its open to comments and voting, I usually skip this). Once uploaded, you can click on your user name in the top right, then click "images" Then you get a menu of all your uploads. Click on whichever photo you want to upload and copy the text where it says "direct link" (not image link), then just paste it into your post. If you are using MEPD.net it will auto format it all. No html required. Not sure about tapatalk. You can also change the size of the image at the bottom of this screen, but MEPD.net will auto format the size. I am not sure if tapatalk does this.
  20. Yep. I was soooooo close in getting it too. Whoever got it bought it got there seconds before I hit the "buy it now" button. It was heart breaking. I spoke with the seller, he didn't think anyone would want it because it didn't work. He is looking out for more, he runs a thrift shop
