  1. I have the 3 dials and two side strap mounts available. Message me if you are interested. Here is a pic of them installed on my pack. Hope I am not out of line posting this here
  2. Looks really good man, but it looks like your missing the little "rivet" button on the bottom right Ab square. Awesome job!
  3. Yea, that is on the list of little things to do. Thankfully (hopefully) it is mostly little things now......
  4. Thanks guys! I think for the most part I am done. I sent pics off for submission to 501st to get my active status back. I had sent in pics last week but he couldn't see my feet...... :-\ Then, I go for PO here....
  5. Do you mean widen it? Once it prints, it would be easy to "soften" the edges. My printer is out right now, waiting for a part. Once it is back up, I should be good to go. This week hopefully.
  6. Nice find! I woulda went in my pants a little to at first sight!!!!
  7. I am coming in a little late on this, but I looked at your pics without reading your process and the first thing I thought was air brushing. It is actually awesome and looks beautiful, but it looks airbrushed. I don't mean that in a bad way at all, but it doesn't have that random used look. Overall good job though, really. I found a wet rag is the best way to move the paint around. Awesome job!!!
  8. Yea, even the helmet looks cleaner in these pics. I may weather the helmet and pack a little more, but not much more...
  9. Actually, these pictures were really dark and I had to lighten them up in Photoshop so most if not all the detail in the weathering on the pack is lost for sure. The pack is dirtier than it looks in these pics, but I am gonna take better ones this weekend. If you look at my pack build thread, you can really see the weathering in my last post there.
  10. I agree with everything you said. They likely did cut it off and it definitely looks like a screw type lid. And no need for the lid I modeled then, which is OK. One less piece to worry about So the base would probably give a more accurate look the faucet covers. I am gonna print one and prep it and see how it looks on mine. If it goes well, and anyone is interested in adding it, I will cast it. Thanks for the feedback!!!
  11. Another update, hope you guys aren't sick of it
  12. OK, so I have re-worked my models completely. I tried to better match the tapered section and modeled a lid based on the picture provided. It is sized to fit on the faucet we all use. It would likely be best as a pulled part. Not sure if anyone would want the lid, but I modeled it anyway, not sure if it is even on in the movie. Anyway, feedback.....
  13. I had initially painted mine all gloss to cause it was what I had and I was impatient, but I ended up re-painting it all with flat black. It will look much better after you weather it being flat, it will help give it that older, sun dried used look. And I agree Scribbler with getting onboard right away. The best advice ever given on these boards is to read through the current and past submissions for both PD and SWAT. Those will tell you EXACTLY what you need to look for.
  14. I think if you are going to standard PO it does not matter which dial. Of course if you go SWAT, that is different
  15. That looks good man. Are you planning on SWAT? Aside from the aforementioned missing caps and det plate, I think it looks great. A few little added details can make it a little better and screen accurate though. Some black tape around the bottom trays, black tab details on the cistern, but otherwise very nice bro
  16. Thanks man! I weathered my Hasbro conversion tonight, waiting for my MP40 canvas pouch and I will be submitting to 501st to re-instate my active status, then submit for MEPD PO!!!
  17. Ha, yes it is Smally, however it is of the rare variety Thanks for kind words guys!
  18. Looks great! Good luck with the weathering. Are you planning on SWAT?
  19. Thanks everyone! I will try to do a little video of my weathering method tomorrow night, although I did not re-invent the process
  20. I did some weathering on the pack. I used the same GZ method for the most part and my wet rag, but for the radio and other corner areas around the pack I used the "dry brush" method. Like my armor, I was going for more of a Dusty, gritty sandy look, not so much "dirty" Let me know what you guys think!
  21. I ended up going the acrylic paint route. These are the colors I used: I should mention I used this as a starter reference: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4973 I put some amounts on a paper plate, dabbed the corner of a paper towel and put spots all over the area I was working on. Then with a wet towel I kinda rolled it over the paint spots to spread it out. I have a few more spots to do, I can make a small video if anyone is interested and some pictures. I meant to do that anyway, but you get on a roll and don't think about it. I was going for the dusty dirty kind of look and I think I achieved that for the most part. I swear I am almost there!
  22. So, I finished up the helmet, boots and pauldron. Ironically, it is dirtier in person. Just gotta weather the backpack now and build my PVC E-11, make the ammo packs and I think I am set. As always, feedback is always welcome
