Looks like too much was trimmed from the plastic at the ankle, top of the foot area. I don't know how to recommend fixing it.

Rogue One -- Jehda Patrols are "Sandtroopers"
Fraulein replied to BrinkHouse's topic in The Barracks
I am on the fence. The images I have seen, it looks like a R1 TK with a pack and pauldron. I don't like the idea that anyone with a TK set up can just throw on a pack and pauldron and call it done because the knee is the plain old TK knee plate and not a sniper plate. That's my 2 cents. -
I am still experiencing these issues I inquired about. I have checked the "more activity" tab on a PC, and I encounter it on both PC and Apple devices.
-
Thanks. I got one.

I like being a sandy, because there is individuality. We may know who is who at a troop, because of something minor or a different smudge. But we don't all look the same like regular TKs. We look the same but different. I do notice that of other detachments, Sandies tend to be casual and relaxed we don't get that "we are better than your detachment because of _____". attitude. We try to help people who may be starting out - even if they are not going for TD. Whereas I have run into some people that are "I'm not TD so I'm not going to help you." We don't "have a stick up our butt" as another person once put it.

Still having the "load more activity" not loading issue. As well as the weirdness in the private messaging as someone posted above. (so if people notice that I have visited their profiles recently - it is because I'm trying to find a thread as a work around to the "load more activity" not working, and I recall that you posted in the thread but cant remember who made the thread.)
-
A note - If you choose to do that specific TD at level 3. You still have to build a pack for level 2 approval.
-
I don't have the option of replying in this thread Is that intentional?

Would it be possible if someone could create a breakdown thread in the Field Backpack forum, for the the different backpacks, similar to Pandatrooper's different TD breakdown threads in the Imperial Armor forum? Set it up with that nice layout? I ask, because I have been going back and forth through several threads for research/information for a pack. And I know that book marking is just an easy way of finding what I need, but I imagine I am not the only person who has done this, and believe it would be a good resource for anyone who has plans to build a pack in the future. As well as those building for SWAT, it would be just a quicker way to access information.

I noticed another thing - I have not seen if it is the same on PC though. And it isn't a big deal. when I have used the "activity" or "unread content" feature, I click on "load more activity" and nothing. I know there is more activity, but nothing loads. It looks as if it loads, so I thought maybe it is a floating scrolling thing, but it is not.

I recall someone else had a problem with RS props recently. I dont recall though if it was here or in another forum.

The field pack broken down into its components
Fraulein replied to Strider's topic in Field Backpack
Metric - 21x16x10 (HxWxD). Imperial (rounded up/down) 8.25 X 6.25 X 4 I can go check my vintage Tupperware resources. It may have been one of those lunch boxes with the folding handles. The dimensions on those is roughly 10 x 7 x 5. Or it could have been Tupperware's Tuppercraft Stow N Go - which is listed as 8x5.75x3 . But finding Tuppercraft items is a little more $$ than the regular Tupperware. There was also a similar size for transporting cupcakes (I don't know if that is what it was for, but that was what we used it for.) They were stackable. IIRC It stacked four. Edit - there is a Tupperware/Tuppercraft Stow N Go #1579 which has the dimensions of 8 X 5.75 X 3. -
Rolf seems to not be able to see much of anything

Thirded - cutting anything as a last resort. Try to work with things that are adjustable and redoable.

I'm not an expert but I would lengthen the straps on the shoulders a little. And like Kayelbe asked, Can we get a side view, arms up, underarms pic?

And the tool box? -

Sorry to bump - what is the rough dimensions of the mortar tube and the tool box? I saw somewhere the outer diameter of the pipe/tube is about 2.5 inches / 63.5mm. What is the overall finished length? Rough estimate, because I know the different pack have different lengths. -
I know I had a message from him because I still have the notification in my email, and his post on the forum stating "pm inbound." I had thought it was because my window had not finished opening on mobile - so I switched to laptop. It does not exist. I don't recall though if this forum has the option of deleting pms for the sender though.

I have noticed some private messages are gone as well. I had one from P3laton3 for a canteen order, dated July 18. It is no longer in the private messages.

Have you contacted your local garrison? Having people closer to you is a big help, because you can Facebook or text them for help, or they might even get together and hold an "armor party". Plus, they might have all the tools you will need. Tools to start the project : I would recommend a set of aviation shears' different grits of sandpaper going up to 1000 grit emery cloth ( use that one with water and you get a super smooth finish on the edges.) a pair of lexan scissors - available from a hobby shop. These get used after you do the rough cutting. Painters tape. Trigger and spring clamps heavy duty magnets Pop rivet gun poprivets - I can't recall what size off the top of my head that is what I thought of edit - cigarette lighter to seal edges on webbing or elastic after you have cut them. And above all - read build threads and any info at least three times before setting shears to plastic. And ask questions.

Original strapping screws question
Fraulein replied to Airborne Trooper's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
Thanks. I'm just trying to use stuff I already may have or is readily available. -

Thanks. I have them in different lengths and sizes. I thought they might work because they are a little slimmer/lower profile. -

BUMP Is it ok to use self ejecting springs for the brackets? They look like this - and I must have a dozen or so of them. -
I don't think it matters much, because we do have the results of the voting. They were not lost. Im really liking that "activity" button. And the new version of "unread posts".
