  1. https://www.facebook.com/internetwarrior123?fref=ts Looks like we will have to add him as a friend to make a post. Maybe we could use #TK11132 on Facebook, twitter, instagram, etc and tell him to keep an eye on the hash tags?
  2. Luckily I've used E6000 on almost everything I've built thus far. It came right off and a new strip are drying now. I've researched everything to death but I think I just blanked out on those...
  3. The fit is fine. I think everyone's forearms are a little wobbly. The biceps are a bit snug but are fine. My concern is that I focused on the 5/8" cover strips and didn't cut them a little wider to cover the entire flat area on the armor. I can't zoom in close enough to other pics to know if flat area on the armor that is showing is acceptable. I don't know that it's going to be that obvious once it's weathered...
  4. Posting from a phone so I'm not sure the pictures will work the first time... http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f36/OnlineJeff/Sandtrooper/20150218_232040_zpsyho5yiwu.jpg Do[/url] I need to redo these cover strip? Are they too narrow? They are 5/8 bit as you can see the armor is wider and you can see a "reveal" edge.
  5. I used back spray paint, left them out in the rain for a few days and then kicked then around in the drive way for 10 mins. Mine aren't approved yet bit think they look the part. I cut blocks of Styrofoam that I had laying around to get them to hold their shape. I repositioned the small pouch with E6000 and clamped it to dry.
  6. Do you have a link to the UK boots or a brand name / name
  7. TK Boots is out of stock again and has a waiting list... Will these work? http://www.zappos.com/giorgio-brutini-conner-black Thanks
  8. Can one of you guys post some pictures of the outer edges of the back plate and the outer edges of the ab/cod? My ATA has two ridges and I can tell which one need to be the trim line. Also, my helmet was almost that rough. Not that its done it looks fine.
  9. Dang it yet another regret that I'm still waiting on my ATA stuff to come available so I can get my stuff built...
  10. I have a home built T21 and it's a bit heavy. I plan on having another weapon as well for when I get tired of carrying it.
  11. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TD_sandtrooper Not that it really matters but the Sandtroopers are in the "CRL text is complete, some images may be missing." category. Does anyone have the missing two photos so we (I say we although I'm still building my stuff...) can get to the "CRL is complete." level? Again it doesn't really matter - its an OCD question...
  12. Next time you talk to them mention that you are with the 501st (if you haven't already) and see if someone will make and extra trip to ship them to you through some normal method. Also, you could try to contact these 501st members and see if any of them could help get a shipment to you: http://www.501st.com/members/garrisonglance.php?garrisonId=87 It looks like a few of them are near the Lion Star address on the website.
  13. Definitely too clean... I'm going to dirty it up at the same time as the armor so they match.
  14. Posting from mobile so I'm not sure if this will work. I'm on the waiting list for armour so I left the pack at home and just sported the helmet. This is a Pulp Fiction spoof. My wife had Leia buns on her wig and the needle in her chest had flashing diodes in it. Helmet fans, speakers and mics all worked good.
  15. Thanks, I've looked at the move along helmet and I think there are 16 on one side and 13 on the other. I tried my template which was a disaster so I'll likely sketch and hand paint them.
  16. I've looked over various pictures and threads and see that the number varies. 12 to 13 fit on my ATA Hemet using Pandatroopers template.
  17. @VF2112 - a pipe build using a Doopy kit correct?
  18. Thanks - I'll check out those suggestions
  19. I need some E-11 advice. I have a completed T-21 but I want to build an E-11. I don't think I want to do a Hasbro conversion. I've got basic tools (Drill, Dremel, etc)...and intermediate build skills. Can someone recommend a good thread on a good E-11 build? There are several I have read but if you know of one that you really like please share it. Should I do a full Doopy Kit or a Pipe Doopy Kit? What are the plusses and minuses for each? As always thanks for the advice from this group
  20. Maybe the mic tips are just shadows on the interior?
