  1. I'd like to hear somebody tell that whole story some time for those of us new to the hobby, if there is detail to the story.
  2. I like mine and my E11 sight got broken recently, so I don't feel so bad about the money I spent.
  3. incredible movie. incredible. I still quote that movie. It was one of my deceased brother's favorites also. I believe I liked 2001 A Space Odyssey better than he. I also particularly enjoyed the original The Thing with Kurt Russell, which I consider science fiction, though some would call it horror. I also recommend the Electric Sheep written version of Blade Runner. Excellent read. http://www.thereelbits.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/the-thing001.jpg
  4. I did exactly what you suggested. It is on like Donkey Kong up in here.
  5. Davin, there is a thread on whitearmor.net about RS and Troopermaster, as well as other armorers such as Authenticprops. I have an unbuilt AP set in my garage that I decided to forgo in favor of a Troopermaster for both my son and I. Right now I am building my first TM, my son's. My garrison mate with more experience likes the TM a great deal. Please refer to the whitearmor thread at http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25018-compare-tm-rs-and-ata-armor/ for further, more in depth description on the TM method and development from people with more experience. Suffice it to say I find that TM parts match better and are more symmetric, but that I wouldn't mind building up my AP otherwise. TM also provides good customer service and is responsive. That thread also addresses some AP further in the thread and has actual photos for comparison. You will also note from some threads that TM may not be as bumpy as the original suits. I find both the AP and TM to be relatively smooth, which doesn't bother me. The details on the TM are nice. Wait time on a TM? Not really that long. That is all this novice has to say. Later.
  6. That would be cool. I own multiple versions . One of my top five movies and top two in scifi
  7. Look at the toe of the Bass Amsterdam. See anything that isn't screen accurate?
  8. The Bass boots also won't pass I bet
  9. Agree. See the Trooperbay method with a dremel and don't go too far
  10. If the sandies show up again in movies, there willbe a turn around. They really are only in that short part of one movie, obviously. There its something about having character in a costume. If one were to do Civil War reenactment, you wouldn't go for the shiniest new Union cavalry outfit. You'd want to be a skinny, dirty bearded rider from Jeb Stuart's regiment. Well, at least I would. Ok bad analogy, but you get my point.
  11. I would guess that we will indeed have a period where younger guy s choose other costumes. They probably weren't affected the way some of us were. It was a life changing experience seeing Star Wars.
  12. That is dirty as ****! Looks like it has been sitting amongst greasy tools in the back of an old auto repair garage in East Texas for about fifteen years.
  13. Are you trolling? Nothing to do with a real suit? And you're saying you don't want to argue?
  14. Just put together a Troopermaster helmet, though not yet painted. Myself and a garrison colleague admire the sculpt. Maybe it isn't lumpy, but it looks good.
  15. I will be there soon. Finishing up my sons TM helmet now and mine is next.
  16. I don't think Abs is easy to break really. And fair warning, once I build out a TM, I won't be a party to these discussions. I'll be grinning , or frowning, ear to ear while I'm trooping. You guys can have this back and forth. I'll be planning for Disney StarWars Celebration.
  17. Can I get one? I need a more Star Wars-like name.
  18. Lands end narrow in the toe box. I've up sized one half size, but they haven't come in yet. I'll let you know. The LandsEnds closely match the CRLs. I like the Bass also, but i'm betting I can't make Swat with those.
