Will Disney Sacrifice 'Star Wars' Films For 'Star Wars' Toys?
longboard8 replied to pashnak's topic in Off Topic Cantina
We really should be discussing this. It bothers me also. -
Internet is one thing, but I no longer have time to order stuff. Halloween is tomorrow and I'm building my sons armor. Its cool. We just aren't one hundred percent screen accurate yet.
-
I see now. Some of these specifics I hadn't noted until I really began the build of the strapping. Like today. The snaps that you happened to have put on the chest plate near or under the breasts, are those actually on the back side of the breasts or just below that?
-
Those split rivets have been rather difficult to find. I think I'm high on ABS glue, you hosers.
-
I see ok. TM when I look at your build here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/8240-the-right-hand-side-snap-and-chest-and-back-question/page-2, it seeps you used snap plates at the shoulder, then a middle snap to conventionally connect the shoulder bells. Additionally, on that same photo, it seems that your breast plate is overlapping your abdomen. Is that ok for my son's armor?
-
What type of glue is this to connect an elastic strap to the ABS back ?

I think what is clear here is that you need to be GML and the other dude needs to understand materiality. I'm not going to cut slack for silliness. -
Also see the trooperbay.com video. That isn't actually precisely how everybody builds, but itll give you the balls to cut armor. Heh. I've been watching Hellboy. Can you tell?

I drive a Sequoia, so I'm of no help whatsoever.

Also try this recent how to thread by wolfman. in this manner we built my sons Troopermaster bucket in about two hours, not including ears or paint: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=12260&page=1entry156670

Ears suck. They just do.

Star wars helmet.com is a big help for seeing how things actually looked.

Harrison Ford 'happy' to do Blade Runner sequel

If you are into CGI or Keanu Reeves, you won't like Blade Runner. -
TrooperMaster or AuthenticProps for Sandtrooper armor
longboard8 replied to DavinFelth's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
Finally somebody made that clear on eFX vs FX. I had been trying to read that into context for a while, but it wasn't very clear.- 14 replies

I also tried to post from photo bucket and got the same message. And I know how to work photo bucket and rarely post images.

Yo Eric

My son will be the storm trooper. I will have a bunch of glow sticks and walking shoes.

"better" is subjective.

Part of the fun is evaluating all these armors, preferably with pictures or in person. Go to somebody's house who is from your garrison, even if you don't know them well. Have a look at the armor and helmet. Look at the area s where glued so you can begin to get an idea what it is like to build . Ask them which way they built their extremities. Look at the helmets from the side and imprint that info. See if it is an ESB or ANH and learn the difference . Note how rough the hand painting can look. Set their helmet on a table and note that the helmet doesn't have to be completely symmetric at the tubes. These are the fun parts. It is a slow process .
