  1. Howdy from FL! I had the privilege, along with several of our MEPD brothers, to participate in this year's Christmas parade at "The Mouse". It was a bunch of fun...quite a bit of walking, and we were buckets on for a stretch of close to an hour in 85+ degree heat...which in FL feels much hotter due to humidity. Anyway, thought I'd share some pix (courtesy of my garrison mate Randy N.)...here's to the dirty ones having a blessed and safe 2016! GBU g
  2. In the second pic (which is really small for me and my machine), it looks like your right bicep might be upside-down (?). Might just be that the pic isn't big enough to verify that, also the ammo strap for lower right thigh…looking good though
  3. Awesome build!!! Might be reaching out to you on some questions re the greeblies...
  4. You've come to the right place! There are far more knowledgable folks here than me on TDs but you should be fine. Very little difference in the main components of a sandtrooper build vs. a stormtrooper...but there are a number of differences in the finer details...check the "Costume Reference Library" for more information. Whitearmor.net is great plus look at this area to get started... http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7240 The main thing to keep in mind when buying a kit is that some them are a better fit for a particular size person...if you're average (IMO) that means 5'9 - 6'1 for a male and 150 - 210 then almost all the commonly available kits should work...if you're on the smaller side then you'd want to avoid those kits that have been intentionally made for the bigger trooper and vice versa. Weathering/battle damage is required for sandies...just consult the threads that address this as to how much Best of luck - you'll find the MEPD crowd very friendly and helpful. Now go get dirty!
  5. Thanks Mike - can't wait to make my debut in 10 days
  6. Danke Well! (my dutch is rusty )
  7. Thanks Bro - look forward to catching up!
  8. So I'm thinking to myself...self, time for a change - something simpler. How about a Sandy...they're classic - obviously cooler than a garden variety TK...got to be easier than all the other things I've built... Ha! My self-imposed deadline for my build was C6. I honestly couldn't have done this without the amazing resource that MEPD is and especially tutorials I found from Bluey, Panda Trooper and others. I've learned a bunch - have aspirations for SWAT eventually...but must crawl before walking, walk before running. Here's the final product - my STS Capt. (still will tweak up to C6): Helmet - eFX (heavily modified...ears & mic tips from UK, S strip from vintage gas pump business (can't remember name)) Armor - AM Boots - TK Boots Pauldron - Trooper1 Gloves/handguards - Trooperbay Pouches - Captsafe66 T21 - Slavefive (lightest he's ever made) Still need brad (?) for cod and fans for bucket...please - if you have suggestions for making this better pass them along. The pix make my legs appear bigger than they really are - the kit yields wider parts vs. more round...if that makes sense. Thanks again for the assistance my dirty brethren Geoff
  9. Will be making my debut as a newly minted...weathered TD Pix coming...
