  1. Gonna need some kids WTF armor soon!
  2. Nice weathering on the small pouches. Looks very natural
  3. Off to a great start. Will be following your progress!
  4. There are a lot of discrepancies between TK and TD armor, but IMHO we all need to look at it like this, if armor is built to Centurion TK level, you're not going to have any issue obtaining basic, PO, and SWAT level from a build perspective. The obvious differences are the knee plate, no shoulder bridges, E-11 holster, etc. We also have our caveats as well such as starting with level 2/Police Officer you have to mimic the original strapping method (it doesn't have to be functional).
  5. Congrats, Felix! Now there's two SWAT members named Felix lol.
  6. If you had to shim your kidney, you can make the notches wider. The whole point of the notch is so the butt plate is flush with the bottom of the kidney and the top of the notch is flush with the ab piece. AP for example, includes a longer notch built into the mold.
  7. Nice work! I have a hyperfirm E-11 too. If only he would make a bapty version though....
  8. The most important thing to do is do a little at a time and layer it up. One piece would be covered in paint and after rubbing it off, hardly would be there but keep at it and you'll start to see it take shape. I'm going back and doing some maintenance on my armor and weathering improvements this weekend.
  9. Canvas is acceptable for basic entry but since you already have white elastic, leave it, you'll need it for PO and SWAT
  10. Cool, man! Bonus points for doing a Private sandy. Not a lot of those around since most want to be a Captain.
  11. I believe so but it depends on how strict your GML is. I'd at least cut it down to 3 buttons. Use E6000 so you can easily remove it!
  12. Yeah even though he doesn't have it on the site he may offer it since he does make the MTK armor.
  13. Yeah, us visual learners would appreciate it a lot! So what you're saying is the aluminum seed tray supports will sit on top of the frame and not have the one underneath once the correct bend is in place?
  14. Yep, much better. Just gotta play around with the elastic connecting the front and back plates to get rid of the overlap on the back to kidney and you're golden like showers. You can do a little heat to fix the butt flare or add in some extra snaps using nylon.
  15. Contact Walt's Trooper Factory or even email Trooperbay and see if Mike has some on hand. You can add an extra snap toward the inside edge of the butt plate and kidney to keep it from flaring out.
  16. Because I'm 5'5", I did mine like this: Sorry the picture is ginormous. For the button, contact Walt's Trooper Factory if need a 3 button set. The 4 button strip has too small of circles and won't look right.
  17. Nice corrections and awesome work showing the Before and After
  18. Strider, I value your opinion and currently upgrading my pack as well. What is yours and the rest of the SWAT panel's stand on the tool box? Keep using the project enclosure that everyone has been using for quit some time or has it been decided that it's a tupperware box? Asking for pack 3
  19. I'm no where near an expert but check out Strider's pack break down thread. I also think instead of bending the frame, they put the lower metal cross bar (the seed tray supports) on the inside of the frame (closest to your back) instead of on the top of the frame like the other cross bars.
