It all depends on how accurate and what level you are striving for as well. I bought a DirtyBoy pack and now working on my own pack. DirtyBoy and Quartermaster packs have gotten plenty all the way up to SWAT level

Welcome! Our hobby can get pricey quick, take your time and enjoy the build. At least you live in the country where most of the screen accurate parts are located! Us Americans have to pay exchange fees and shipping!

Nice build. There's a few things that stick out, some of which doesn't matter for PO but you may want to do anyways. Your bee stinger still has the canteen cap. Check out a few of the GioStyle canteen threads. Your rear right thigh cover strip needs to be replaced with one that covers the entire length of the thigh. -
Just received permission from Ian to share his Facebook page, Sandie Comms. Ian is currently offering the most accurately and proportionate sized radio for those with Karrimor frame pack builds.

Looking good! You'll start to forget you even have the pack on..... until you bump into something

Looks really good. It looks like you're trying to replicate the "Move Along" Captain. If so, you're in luck as that's the most replicated trooper here and toooooooooooons of reference as well as SWAT submissions for you to check out. Brow and lighter weathering look great for this particular trooper so far. Just remember, it's all in the details. Depending exactly who you're replicating, look at the references for teeth count, tube stripe count, etc.

Definitely post some pictures for us to better understand the issue. Have you already trimmed them? If not, hold off until you provide some pics.

I love your weathering. Can you share your method? -
I have one on my current Dirty Boy packs but working on a new one for my karrimor frame. Just checking to see if there was a major difference since you have the real deal.

How much different is it from P3laton3's? I'm in the middle of building a new pack and will have to order another one from him unless I can find one stateside.

Did you find it on the US or UK eBay site? Awesome score

Nice! Layers really make it pop.

A lot of amazing sandtroopers coming out of Germany. -

For us guys trying to build a more accurate pack, what do you suggest we go with now. Assuming we upgrade to the larger radios that are being offered. -

Wow, your armor is turning out so great. Once you put your belt on and have someone cinch it tight, it'll close that little gap you have

Sandtroopers, why are we so different?
Airborne Trooper replied to iconoclasta_88's topic in The Barracks
It was me you were having this conversation with on WTF's T76 page. I absolutely love sandtroopers. Not once did I ever think I wanted to be a regular, clean TK. When I joined the Army, I didn't just want to be a regular soldier. So I went to jump school to become Airborne. I can't even buy a BBQ grill without figuring out ways to modify it to make it better. It's just in my nature to go that extra step. It drives my wife absolutely crazy but there is something about having a focus on even though you may never be 100% satisfied. I may get more 501st costumes but my sandtrooper will always be my #1. The point to my posting on WTF's T76 page was that as the new movies come out and obviously new costumes, it would be great to add to our detachment. Give more options and also bring in people who might not otherwise visit the website. I know it's in the name, Mos Eisley. But I think it's rather limiting to only allow troopers from one planet in the SW universe. We have a very proud lineage that many other detachments don't get. We can actually point out specific characters in the film. I know that's what really sets us a part from others and no way do I want that tarnish it. With respect though, being able to breathe new life wouldn't hurt . This is just my opinon -
Fantastic build thread and pack. I think the stinger is still a bit too long too. Check against references. Now add a bit of weathering and post your submission for PO!

My wife usually acts as my assistant. She will pull my pauldron down and makes sure it's not being pushed by the pack. Yeah you will learn really quick how to stand to maximize viewing ability. When a 2 or 3 year old comes up to your leg but you can't see them is fun. -

Disregard, my work firewall likes to block image hosts for some reason. Turned off the firewall (perks of being an admin) and they show back up. I forget to turn it off all the time.
