  1. Those look like the Park Seed trays people have been using for a long time. They will result in a smaller pack than what has now been embraced with the discovery of the Karrimor frame. Not to say it won't be approvable though.
  2. Welcome! Take your time with your build while studying previous builds and looking at screen references.
  3. Really cool! I think that's the first time I've seen someone weather their armor box.
  4. Looks awesome. Been following you and your son's build the entire way. Glad to see you making your PO submission!
  5. Congratulations, Lee! Another sandie comms radio owner in the ranks!
  6. If you have a facebook account, check out the Sandie Comms page!
  7. Wow! Tbh, I didn't know how it would turn out but it looks great. I think you made a great choice by switching to the sand side and you did an awesome conversion. Try to get a hold of the three piece button strip and start a pack build!
  8. I can see them. Maybe consider photobucket as your image host though.
  9. Congratulations and make sure you request your 501st access! I look forward to seeing your PO submission
  10. Would love to steer new guys from forgoing HWT all together and going straight sandtrooper off the bat. We have the big guns and play in the dirt! Hit up Walt's Trooper Factory for the 3 button ab strip and diamond knee plate. He's located in CT so shouldn't take long to get
  11. Bicep looks much better. I also suggest you connecting your back to your kidney if not done so already. You may have to adjust your back to chest piece fitment in order to allow it to drop down correctly. I can at least see your left thigh being too large so try to resize it in the back.
  12. Is it just me or has the overall forum been lacking posts and activity lately?
  13. Borrowing some of Strider's photos: No lab pipe: Lab pipe: SWAT member millenium1's lap pipe placement: I didn't go with as big of a diameter or length. It can be easily changed depending on what some other SWAT members suggest.
  14. If you go back a few years you'll find a ton of argument about if Davin Felth "Look sir, droids" even had a lab pipe to begin with. It was decided since there's no clear picture of the left side, those emulating him will need to have it. Seems that those who have received SWAT status for this particular trooper all mounted it on the tray and not along the frame as the Captain does. The best reference for Davin Felth's pack build is this: I still need to add the D ring and antenna to my radio. I couldn't tell if there is stitching on the leather wrap around the radio so I left that off for now.
  15. Fantastic work! My only recommendation is to put a screen in the barrel so no one can see the electronics and only the light that comes out.
  16. Unless your GML is a sandtrooper, they will stick strictly to the CRL so make sure you meet the requirements. Once you're in, it's up to the detachment to approve you for higher level since they are the subject matter experts.
  17. Looking good! UK garrison really cranking these out lately!
  18. Reach out to Mike at trooperbay or Walt's Trooper Factory for the 3 piece button.
  19. The hole in the mortar tube allows a screw driver access to the screw on the frame: All that's left is to paint over some of the rivets/screws and roll it around in the dirty and sand. I did one dye session for the straps that came with the frame but will need to do at least 2 more passes for it to get all the way from grey to black.
