  1. You have some more material to file away in the teeth. Don't forget to remove the return edge on the bottom of your shins
  2. Thanks everyone. I took off a week so hopefully tomorrow or the next I'll take some photos
  3. I forgot SID also is doing a run as well. I'm not on the UKG forum so I don't know who, could possibly be the same person since Tosche Traders is UK based. I got mine from Tosche Traders though and they fit nicely. We've come a long way since the Park Seed treys. Those are much smaller
  4. I think for the move along trooper/look sir, droids pack 3, the best place to get seed trays to fit on the karrimor frame is through someone on the UKG forum (sorry, I don't post there so don't know names) and toschetraders.com
  5. Cool! Love Walt & Pedro and plan on giving him a lot of my $ this year for a few new costumes and to replace my TD.
  6. My wife just gave birth to our newest addition on Wednesday morning! His name is Davin, named after our Davin Felth! Plan on taking some cool photos with him and my bucket soon and will update this thread then.
  7. Hello, Paul! Looking forward to seeing your build!
  8. Much better. We want all our sandtroopers looking their best!
  9. Congratulations! Is this the first father & son Police Deployed members?
  10. It looks sorta similar to the one Gordon offers. Unfortunately, it's far from the British made one used in the movie. Those are pretty rare to get unfortunately so that's why many of us have gotten the next best thing from Gordon. Take a look at Panda's siphon build here in the Field Backpack section.
  11. I don't like to publicly discuss vendor prices on open forum so please reach out to the vendors regarding prices. I can tell you he's a bit cheaper than RS though. I made a few purchases on here, white armor,a few trips to the fabric store for elastic, and hobby store for paint but not too bad. Most troops are on the weekend so you'd be fine. Plus, 501st only requires 1 troop a year to remain active. After your first troop you'll be hooked anyways
  12. I bought mine from Tosche Traders. It's thought they might be some old type of compacitor. I have some up close pictures on my pack build thread.
  13. RS makes some beautiful armor but you pay a premium. If your stateside, I would recommend WTF. Wait times are minimal and he makes some fantastic armor. I was quick to purchase so I didn't do all the research that I advice any new recruits to do before making the investment. You also need to consider what body type you have so you pick the right armor. Bigger (wide and tall) typical choose RT-Mod or AM2. Skinny guys can choose whatever they want. I can do basic automobile maintenance and never worked with plastic in my life and I figured it out. Between here and Whitearmor, there's so much visual aid and community to help even the least handy. If you don't have time to dedicate to put together armor, do you plan on joining the 501st or is this just for display? I've put tons of time in my build plus maintanence. Don't get me started on my pack I just finished lol. This is definitely a passion for me and I love doing it.
  14. Only thing I could spot was the rivet on the ammo knee pack needs to be painted white. Other than that, you and your father should be quite proud of both of your armor
  15. Thanks! If you guys need any weird angle photos or any questions, just ask. I'm usually quick to reply.
  16. Thanks for the kind words. I did a touch of silver dry brushing on the radio and sandwich box, a little dirt weathering, and painted some screws black. I forgot to take a picture so will update tonight. Now that I know what the real radio looks like, I need to acquire an antenna that at least looks similar. I will need to redo the leather wrap so it's a bit thinner as I used cardboard as the template. From all the photos of Davin's pack, seems like it doesn't have the 6 pin DIN so I'll find a small D ring from the hardware store. I took a few photos for my 501st profile and noticed right away that I will need to add a sternum strap as well for comfort. I typically do 3 hour plus long troops.
  17. Agreed. I still haven't seen some minor issues repaired yet.
  18. It's Battleship Grey, there's a few threads on this. We've come a long way recently
  19. You also need to replace the 4 button strip with a 3 button one and the nylon that attaches the chest and back over your shoulders needs to be replaced with elastic.
  20. I heated up a nail and stuck it through the nylon webbing. Put the snaps through that and hammer them together like the instructions say.
  21. Please edit your post and delete my link. OP is requesting pictures removed so his purchase price isn't effected.
