  1. Hey guys, As many of you may know Central Texas has recently (and currently) suffered tremendous loss to wildfires. We in the Central Texas Squad (Star Garrison) are trying to help our neighbors and friends through trooping and bringing awareness to this tragedy. We are currently working with local businesses and charities to get aid to those victims who have lost their homes. We are using social media to attract attention to our events and hope it will generate more exposure to these tragic events and get people to come out and help. If you have Facebook please support us by "liking" our page and getting our information out others. OP:ANH Thank you for your time.
  2. I had the same problem. I cut the wrap around wire frame and and velcro'ed the actual mic piece into the helmet. Since it bends it contours the the shape of the helmet. I have no problems with it since.
  3. I don't see why it would keep you from getting MEPD deployed. You should be good to go.
  4. 501st classifieds sometimes has them posted for sale
  5. ahh...nothing like academy life. They yell at you and make you run, shine your boots and belt buckle, run, learn criminal laws and procedures, run, defensive tactics, run, shoot, run, and finally run some more.
  6. Great idea, I had thought about it. Another crazy idea would be to install a small "air conditioner" and pipe the cool air into the armor. They make small ACs for motorcycles, maybe one could fit inside the pack. If Doc Brown can invent a flying time traveling car, then my man RB can invite a TD pack with air conditioning.
  7. This is just plain crazy talk. Modular packs? Next you'll tell me they blew up the Death Star.
  8. I make it a policy to not say anything negative about higher ranking officers. How do you think I ended up on this desert planet?
  9. Look who made the cover for CNN at Dragon Con. You guys heard of these fellas before? http://geekout.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/02/a-field-guide-to-the-geeks-of-dragoncon/?hpt=hp_c2
  10. I dont care who you are that's funny right there
  11. man, who's the angry guy under the hat?
  12. Meh...Felth and his shiny friends would do good not to get gutted by a drunk Tusken Raider by days end. We've been hunting insurgents through every seedy bar and dusty cave for years. 'Bout time Tarkin and his "yes" man Vader sent in some fresh meat.
  13. Looks like it was a great time.
  14. dood...don't mistype it as dirtyboy.com....bad bad things :o
  15. Doesn't look like the rivets are required for 501st. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TD_sandtrooper 501st req'd All Sandtrooper armor parts are required to be dirty. See the sandtrooper weathering page for more information. Left side ab plate has a minimum of three and maximum of four buttons painted white. Right side ab plate is blank square and does not contain buttons like stormtrooper. MEPD req'd Left side ab plate has 3 buttons. Armor side gaps should be closed or nearly closed; no more than 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) gap on either side. This should be done by adding a shim or shims of material that must be of similar material and color as the ab and back plate. Shims should fit flush and may have seams, though ideally they will be seamless to the ab and/or back plate, resulting in a single seam between the ab/back rather than extra seams for where the shims are joined. SWAT req'd Rivets on the left side of the ab/kidney plates: a total of six rivets with three on the ab and three on the kidney plate, equally spaced out along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. One snap on the top right hand side oft he ab plate: back of male side of snap should show on outside of ab plate. Visible fasteners under crotch area. One split rivet or brad in the front. (not required to be functional)
  16. ooooo....burn. Yeah, its nothing like rugby where a bunch of burly men gather around and hug on each other.
  17. Awesome Scrib! I'm sweating just looking at the pics...oh wait..it was Leia that was making me sweat.
  18. Actually there is a difference between the codes u mention and 10 codes. Those are Cali penal codes. 10 codes usually start with 10. The examples listed below are TX 10 codes (used them since those are the ones I'm familiar with). 10-8 In service 10-41 begin tour 10-42 end of tour 10-96 emotional disturbed person 10-76 in route 10-32 subject with gun 10-95 subject in custody 10-50 (most dreaded back on my patrol days) collision ***Edited for typos (man...all over the place)***
  19. 1. Vito- You a cop or sumpthing? You sure sound like one or maybe its just the bacon I smell from the kitchen. 2.
