  1. MEPD K9 Unit TD-6887 & Rostig secured the Sacramento SPCA's "Star Paws" event on Nov 14, 2015. I am proud to report that we found the droid we were looking for.
  2. Hey, why not? Those lil' ankle biters are good herders.
  3. Nice! We should create a MEPD k9 group or something. Here's my unit:
  4. Can't wait! Not sure which scenes I'll be in, but I'm one of the TD's. If they use the opening scene I filmed with them, I'm the tall trooper next to Adam on his right.
  5. Great job! You must have a really nice strap system. Just curious, how much condensation was in that armor?
  6. I'm a lil' on the tall side for a TD as well. My only other costume is the boss
  7. Hey, if you can make it 3 hours, you're doing pretty good. Two hours in any costume and my back is killing me
  8. I too highly recomend RT Mod for the too tall troopers Rob is also an awesome guy to deal with. I couldn't really afford to buy a whole new kit, so he pulled just the pieces I really needed to fill in the gaps. He had no problem with many mind changes and additions I wanted. I ended up replacing my FX limbs and ab-plate.
  9. This blasted sand gets eveywhere! Tried wiping it off, just seemed to make it worse. Screw it, Vader's on our butts over these droids, no time to clean.
  10. Here ya' go. Haven't gotten around to suitin' up again, but I've also added a more accurate shoulder pouch.
  11. Yeah, I was just noticing that thigh ammo as I was uploading these. Proof that only two rivets were used! Just looked at my pack, and I'll be darned, it is one of yours. I bought it from someone on the forums here a few months ago. It's a great pack!

  13. It's finally official! (although my photos are still not up) http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=13618 Steven Gwin (Ed), TD-6887, requesting MEPD Sandtrooper section access
  14. The E6000 actually pulls apart fairly easy, no heat needed. Yep, the thighs is where I used all my padding. I have RT Mod armor. Had the longest leg pieces I could find, but yeah, the thighs were way huge on me. I had to bring them in as far as I could, and even then I had to add padding here and there to fit nice.
  15. I'm also 6'4". Although not quite as thin I'd reccomend you use E6000 glue. You can actually undo & reposition, which I ended up doing alot more than I expected. I also overlapped the armor edges from the inside, rather than trim it, if that makes ant since. Padding also helps. What armor maker did you go with?
  16. Yes! That would be great. We do this on the SLD forums. It's also great for keeping track of all your events. As far as proof of past events, as long as you had a photo and info, we were able to count 'em.
  17. I did the Fuller's Earth & hairspray method with a matte clear coat over it. I wouldn't say it's shiney, but does have kind of satin look to it when in direct sun llight. One caution; I wish I would have used a lighter color because the clear coat darkens it quite a bit. I still like the look a lot better than paint though. I should have photos up soon when I apply for deployment
  18. I use one of TK6294's Aker amps. Works great. I got the MR2200, fits perfect and plenty loud enough. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=5790
