    My girl

Just need to get her some femtrooper armor and do it desert style.
  3. Those things are beautiful even in their partially unassembled, unpainted state!
  4. The s-shaped trim is accurate, however I have found that if you take a razorblade and slice off one curve of the 'S' it fits a lot better around the helmet. Less material there, so it doesn't bunch up as much.
  5. hella cool dude. but at 3yrs old, is he gonna keep it on for any length of time?
  6. That sandtrooper is the shortest one I've seen. He also has the helmet with the unpainted ears.
  7. Or they wanted to sell more toys?
  8. Interesting. I never paid attention to the AP legs. I glued my GF's together overlapping with no strip because I didn't know any better at the time. The small thigh pieces did inspire me to shed some pounds though. I'm at 168lbs now. Haven't been at that weight since highschool! [end of motivational speech]
  9. I just drilled a shallow hole in the back and glued the bolt in.
  10. I knew I shoulda put those straps on the outside!
  11. I haven't been here long, but this place seems more like a 'community' than many of the other boards I am a member of.
  12. I'm talking about the 9 volt on the radioshack amp. I've got the 12v on the romfx now, but now I'm thinking I won't need that much power since the romfx is now acting as pre-amp. I'm almost tempted to try 12v on the radioshack amp.
  13. Got a cable from RS and plugged my RomFX into the RS Amp. Worked just fine except for all the FEEDBACK. I think once everything is in the helmet and under the armor, feedback should be eliminated. I can't believe it will get that loud with just a 9v battery. Wonder what battery life is like. I still think my throat mic is junk. But hey, I got if off ebay for cheap.
  14. since you've raised the bar with a supurb weathering job, my only nitpik would be that I wouldn't have painted the areas inbetween the teeth gray.
  15. Exactly. I did the same thing. Got a rt-mod first and about a week after it arrived, I ran into a set of GF. Sold the rt-mod almost immediately and didn't lose a cent on it. BTW, I meant to say GF (Follano) in my above post, not GH.
  16. Maybe this will help? http://www.gotarmor.com/gotarmor2_035.htm I say if you have the cashola, go for the finished helmet. Some really nice ones pop up from time to time. Average cost seems to be around 400 bucks. Any helmet finshed by GF himself will be immaculate.
  17. I almost forgot, the shoulder connectors were built by GF as well. I remember GF saying that it was still a work in progress until he got smacked by LFL. Thus the short stem at the top of the ab armor instead of the longer, ANH style.
  18. I can't remember what pieces TE/GF had to fabricate. I think it was the ab-button pieces, knee boxes piece, drop boxes, hand guards, and maybe the belt? Were these later replaced when he did the second run with the correct arm and leg pieces?
  19. That was one skinny dude.
  20. Turned up the level on the romFX. Most I could get out of the throat mic was static whenever I talked. It's headed for the trash. Got the Radio Shack amp. It doesn't work. On the back, it listed microphone as one possible input, so I plugged a microphone with a mono plug into it and got no sound. I have the worst luck with this stuff.
  21. I got one too. I don't like the fact that it has the fat ribs and all that extra cloth at the bottom bunches up around my neck and arms. To fix that, I usually tuck all that under the undersuit.
