  1. Oh! I didnt thik about that. yes the Move along does have more lip at the tops of the eyes. Have you looked at the helmet up close on starwarshelmets.com?? look here...
  2. Should be be OK to trim after its dry. You did primer right? The parts of the eyes that need trimming are the insides or centers by (over the nose..) and the outside edges toward the rears. Just take the lip off where the plastic starts to curve in. Use a number 2 exacto knife and just go slow. Mike
  3. looking good!! Trim the eyes out a bit more when you get around to it
  4. I would be worried about dust or morning dew. You need to find a dry dust free area to store it in. If the shed is clean and dust free and does not get moist then it should be fine.
  5. You should be OK for now. If the humidity and heat get much higher it will be more of a pain. If its TD I wouldnt sweat it at the temp. you are at now.
  6. first time I have seen it laid out like that Sweet!!
  7. Man, I have said it before, Nice job!!
  8. For me the Cap n Back is weird and looks too small on the cap. The faceplate flares like a pair and seems too much like an "A" shape that I dont see on the screen used helmets... It is a thing of beauty though as far as attention to detail goes. Dan is very talented. Cant wait to see your finished collection
  9. Right off the bat I can tell that the faceplate IMO is a recast of the TE2. Either that or they just have a chip in the mold in the exact same spot by coincidence. The cap n back looks like its maybe recast from RT-MOD or a modded version of FMX. The ears look like recasts too, but with "greeblies" on the parts that are usually painted.
  10. "kwdesigns" makes a nice sandy implant for the FX and he's local to you too. Try looking for him here or on the SCG boards.
  11. You see how the first few stripes are more pointing into the inside of the helmet here? Thats what my tube stripes do as well. There is a definite left and right. And as an example. Here is CAPS new helmet. The tubes are reversed. I gotta put instructions in. You guys see the difference? Everyone seems to be doing this.
  12. Man, I have got to send instructions with my tube stripes. Everyone puts them on wrong The left is on the right and the right is on the left.
  13. 14. Looking nice!! You did a great job on the assembly and the weathering is coming along. You will probably weather it a few times before you are completely happy with it. Dont stress though it looks awesome. You did put the tube stripes on the opposite sides they go on though... PM me your addy and I will send you another pair. When I created the tube stripes for the sandies I put them on the sheet wrong and there are a few people that are getting them on wrong. I am an idiot. I will take care of you bro! SORRY. Mike
  15. AH!!! I FREEEKING LOVE BUILD THREADS!!! Keep us posted mate!
  16. I am a Prepress Technician. I have worked in the printing industry for the last 12 years. I recently was terminated. Last February. Then I got picked up by another printer in November!! Phew, that was scary. I love printing and I love Macs too
  17. That looks pretty good Nol. Nice job
  18. Nol, The buckets really looking great. If I could suggest some things... Yes the eyes need to be trimmed out more I think. Also the cap looks a bit high. Did you trim the cap to the brow line? Can you take some pics from about 5 feet back and zoomed in showing the sides and front? For authenticity, paints the way to go, BUT my decals look painted sooooo.... . If you do use my decals remember that the tube stripes go on like this \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / I notice that some people have been putting them on like this.... / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ They come on the sheet opposite of how they were meant to go on!! My mistake. Did that make any sense?? Lookin good so far!
