  1. Welcome back T - still loving my TE2!!!!
  2. Yeah the chest strap goes under the chest plate. I have had no problems with it riding up at all. Once I tightened it all up I couldn't even feel the pack. I am traveling now otherwise I could take a picture and show you. I will when I get home in about a week, if that helps.
  3. I sewed some foam cushion around the shoulder pads. But actually I think the chest strap will keep your shoulder straps from slipping. I sewed an adjustable, snap chest strap to the shoulder straps. It pulls the shoulder straps tighter into the center of my chest and locks it in nice and secure.
  4. Hmmm, never had armor bites. Guess it is all in how you trim
  5. We had our SW read's day troop in ATL on Saturday. The book store we went to had Ashley Eckstein as a guest. I was the lone TD, representing the MEPD! Here is a pretty good article about it with some more pictures: http://www.geeksares...wars-reads-day/
  6. I used a small circular shaped file for the inner part of the eye. Cut it rough first and then slowly filed away the plastic and got a perfect corner of the eye.
  7. We just have the B&N in ATL on 6 OCT for the garrison. Nothing was mentioned about Savannah , so my guess is that the 501st will only be in Atlanta.
  8. Agree also with recognizing MEPD by quality and armor/helmet. Although I like to ask if someone is in MEPD anyway. Would be nice to do a patrol or something together next time, maybe after the picture. I know a group of TDs will be able to clear a path easily through those crowds.
  9. Here are a few : My wife as a jawa and myself Me outside Friday morning MEPD members td3165 and td6305 and myself 501st room, MEPD member Toshi Station, and the dewback display
  10. I'm on the first row (front), first guy on the right. Great pic thanks for posting!
  11. What time and where will the MEPD photo be - haven't seen anything about it yet. The main 501st forum has a spreadsheet with detachment photo time and the MEPD is empty. Just curious...
  12. I also have a big head - my system is this. I only use 5 small pads (cut up foam knee pads) - 2 on my forehead, 2 in the rear (just behind my ears), and 1 at the back of my head. Helmet sits snug and doesn't move and has never shifted or fallen off. I only use a very thin (maybe 1/4 inch thick) foam pad for the top of my head, so basically the top of the helmet is resting on my head.
  13. Haven't watch that in awhile, thanks for posting up!
  14. Jay, I wouldn't mind helping at the panel - but I want to see the convention schedule first before I can commit fully. I
