  1. You better hurry up Rick. I have an RS kit on the way and I might actually start mine before you! LOL
  2. On Sunday, September 23rd, The Empire City Garrison's presence was requested at the Little Britain Elementary School Carnival. One of the ECG's few MEPD representatives (Me...LOL) was joined by Lord Vader, an ESB TK and a couple of ANH TK's to help the school raise some extra money for some much needed playground equipment. Since this is also the school my 5 yr old twins attend, it was a no brainer. It was also a perfect opportunity to show off our new Tatooine Wall backdrop. Had this set up in my driveway for a week working on it. Added some more details, weathering and electronics. The weather on the day of the carnival was sunny, breezy and cool. A perfect Fall day in Upstate NY. Here are some pics from the event...
  3. Not sure if this is any big deal, but figured I would post up this milestone of mine as my 1000th post! I know I may never get to the point where I'm in Rolf's or Dirty Boy's league, but I thought it was kinda cool to be in 4 digits. Woo Hoo!
  4. Congrats Rick!!! You have some big shoes to fill and while Noel will be missed, I know you will do and excellent job.
  5. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. God speed Phil. Rest easy.
  6. Fantastic weathering job Brian! Keep the pics coming.
  7. Looks great! For pictures, sign up on Photobucket, load them there, then copy and paste the picture link here.
  8. Hey Johnnie, if you are looking to do some upgrades on the pack, here is a link of the actual Stow n Go container used for that pack. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tupperware-Stow-N-Go-Container-/290766763014?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b30cb406 You can usually find them for sale on Ebay. If you are gonna upgrade the radio, Mike at TrooperBay.com sells a nice vac formed replica faceplate. Dirty Boy also has a real nice radio.
  9. Weathering is such a personal thing Chris. What may seem too much to some is not always enough to others. The common rule of thumb has always been "Less is more". I personally like a bit of heavier weathering. My armor looks like I've been through He!!. Pictures always make the weathering look different as well depending on lighting, use of flash, etc... Since you are planning on going for SWAT, post a few pics in the SWAT section and see what they have to say.
  10. Mike does everything top notch. His customer service is also second to none. I'm sure if you ordered one and weren't happy, Mike would take care of you.
  11. Looks great man. I was looking at the pics and said "What's different about that pack?" Mortar Tube missing! LOL Otherwise, looking spot on. Great work.
  12. I see a couple of problems with a 100% screen accurate pack being the only option for SWAT. While it is doable, without very specific dimensions for everything, which to my knowledge we don't have, every build is already not accurate. Then there is the issue of parts. While we have some VERY talented people both here and on the Legion boards, you can find 3-4 different versions of Radio Faceplates alone, some in resin, some vac formed, etc... Then there are the pack builders (LOL). As of now, it seems that both Rick and myself are the most active in this area. Rick and I go to great lengths to make our packs as Screen Accurate as possible, but even he and I don't do every detail exactly the same. There are some minor differences in our builds, and unless we combine efforts to make sure we both do everything exactly the same and use all the same parts, there will be some differences there as well. Are we going to provide a list of SWAT ONLY acceptable parts vendors??? If so, who makes that determination??? I think that an interpretation that is as close to 100% is the right choice here. At this point, if you have spent any time here and have gotten Police Officer status, then you should know what is expected to attain SWAT status. Packs with obvious problems should not be posted for SWAT deployment. There are many choices that are both affordable and readliy available that can get you VERY close to 100%. It just takes a bit of effort.
  13. Hope you had a great day Rolf! This ones for you!
  14. Your a machine Rick! Do you ever see the family or sleep? LOL
  15. Nice job Marcus! Looks killer!
