  1. Thanks for sharing ... looking good.. should be a member real soon
  2. I have never trooped without my backpack ever. It just wouldn't feel right. We did break a few times back stage though. Thats when we dropped the backpacks.
  3. Eddie and I ended up goofing around in the Lego Dino Dig Sand Pit, needless to say the site of Sandtrooper in sand drew a good crowed and made for some huge smiles.
  4. Was lucky enough to troop with 2 of MEPDs finest Ben and Eddie last weekend. All three of us were in armor for close to 11 hours which was a tad brutal. Ben ended up doing the same troop the next day too boot. Anyway here are some of Eddie's picture and a few of mine. Enjoy
  5. lol Yes indeed. Let me guess your a Pats fan?
  6. thanks... Super quick mod to make your AT-AT look cooler.. with some high output LED's
  7. Did someone one say NEW Hasbro toys??? heehee How about the new AT-At? I have been a huge Walker fan since I first saw ESB back when it originally came out. I heard whispers from the Hasbro crew last year at SDCC about a larger scale AT-AT for the 30th anniversary of ESB. I am so glad that the original casts are now worn out and that Hasbro has chosen to redo these ships in a scale more worthy of them.... and fyi I am going to spill the beans here the next large scale that is coming down the pipe will be a Jaba The Hutt Sail Barge. some where along the lines of the 30th aniversry of Return of the Jedi. Here is some pictures I took today of my new AT-AT my 5th total and you know I am going to buy at least one more. You can see how it dwarfs the AT-TE and the older AT-ATs BUT... the toughest Walker of them all has to be....
  8. ouch! That sounds painful. Well while taking some picture to submit to my GML this weekend, I leaned on a chair (yea u see this one coming) to adjust my shoe. Well the chair was on a hard wood floor it kicked out and I slammed in full armor into the ground wrist 1st. I did one of those count to 5 and see if my wrist is broken but thank goodness it wasn't. The armor took the fall like a champ too. BUT it would have made a great youtube moment
  9. Chingon!! Nice ! I love it! Now do it in armor. lol
  10. If you are going to go that route Nol then all you would have to do is do that for the rear buttoxx for those long troops. The back pack hides most of the rear anyway.
  11. I too have TE2 and the only thing that keeps me from sitting down most of the time is my pack. You do have to be careful when sitting as HIPS is alot more fagile then ABS but it can be done with no problem. Now thee best set up of all is my OSCS Clone Armor. The Cod is its own peace much like TE2 but there is a snap on the left and right that allows me to take off the cod set it aside and sit down all I want. Its that easy. I am going to try to do a similar set up to my TE2 cod which would take the thought of damaging the cod a thing of the past. The trick with TD armor would be to find a way to hide a snap. On both the TE2 and OSCS armor the belt hides the seem where the ab and cod meet so no one will ever know if you cut your armor. In fact my old FX had the seem where you could cut if you look close enough. My TE2 but(t) peace with the belt pushed up OSCS's cod pictures
  12. Well actually, I can meditate in mine... Or at least make fishy lips while sitting down. You just have to find the right seat. It also helps if the cod peace is seperate from your the ab armor like mine.
  13. I just did a quick glance at the Deployed page and except for BATTLE damage, everyones weathering looks pretty consistent with what one would expect with a force platooning a desert planet. If you take into account that each trooper would have different degrees of dirt/sand caked onto their armor based on how long they have been out in the desert. As for battle damage, clearly everyones should be different.
  14. Good looking bucket man, you are well on your way
  15. The game looks amazing, and like everyone else I find myself asking the same question.. Why isn't this a movie?? I might try it out but I barley have enough free time between work, my kids and the hobby s I already have for a MMO. I squeeze time in on the Xbox,PS3 but those times are rare.
  16. Way to cut a rug dude! As for the AC and free pizza thing. Yes they are all like this plus a free bag of gold with every troop... why else would we do this right?? lol That and the smile on a little kids face when ever they see us
  17. Nol , I think we all know the 'what' its just cool to see the 'how' it might have been done.... and since this is one of the definitive sites for all things Sandtrooper, I would love to hear what everyone thinks about the imagery.
  18. This is what I found intersting. 1. Protocol Droid torn to peaces. Clearly depicting the TDs looking for the plans to the Death Star. 2. What could be my next costume, TD disguised as a Tusken Raider. My guess is that the TDs did this to prevent this group of Jawas from alerting other Jawas by radio. Had other Jawas learned that the Empire was looking for 3P0 and R2 then they might have either hid them to maybe sell to J The Hutt or maybe even destroy them to save themselves. My understanding is that Jawas are a relatively close nit species. If anyone has played the expansion pack to The Force Unleashed then you have seen Star Killer in the same disguise. 3. TD changing either into or out of his Tusken disguised. Since they did not find the plans it is safe to say the search would continue. Also an interesting thought, maybe the TDs were still in disguise when they arrived at the Lars?? 4 Possibly a TK with drop boxes carring an R2 unit. Could just be an artist error though. 5 Another artist error? A TD with an O2 generator. For some reason I can not get image to display any larger. It does help to download and zoom in
  19. While at SD Comic Con. I happen upon this painting by DD. From my understanding it was done for C4. It depicts the after math of the now famous Jawa slaughter by Sandtroopers. As you can see the imagery is quite powerful and wanted to start an open discussion about this painting. Including how canon you feel it is. The TD on the right looks beyond cool. Also interesting is presence of TK's working along side the TDs.
  20. So I guess that at the end of the day this is the same incorrect sandtrooper in the SE packaging which ironictly looks more like the figure then the previous sandtroooper figures. But what about this figure that my wife saw at comic con today? oh wait thats just me
