Put me on the list! That is one good looking MG15 my favourite firearm for a stormie. I was thinking of making one of these but looking at this its not going to happen now. A work of art
Airbrushing doesn't give the right look, it's too contrived and controlled a medium, rags sponges and hands and a big brush ( movie accurate ) is the way to go
Warm water and some colour and chuck the belt in the water take out and apply more colour while the belt is wet. If you don't like it throw it in the water again. Muddy water will have the same effect but you may want to lighten the hue for that dessert look
No problem Julius
I made some buttons using a spare piece of 2mm HIPS and a 16mm plug cutter, which look OK. You may want to take up Troopermaster's offer though.
Thanks Zac looks good. The number of buttons is it three or four? I have a TE2 with four buttons but most armours show three and in the above reference there looks like there is something below the third button.
Has anybody got any close up reference photos how the ab buttons and slots look, as close as possible to the film. I have got some, but I wouldn't mind a definitive reference if one exists.
Pauldron arrived in the post today and what a beauty it is too. My wife thinks I'm odd I keep going off and trying it on Thank you Rolf the quality is fantastic. Am I the first to get mine? Now all I need is the armour to show it off.
You might want to get rid if the lines in your tear traps before you carry on and if you have them in your back vents, those too. Other than that looking good.
Looks like a sticker that was removed and the left over adhesive has taken to the weathering more. I would have said it is weathering but the fact that it appears on two is too coincidental.
