  1. Have to say I have never liked the TK pauldron thing. You can't have your cake and eat it. I say dirty has to be a must that's the fun of being a TD.
  2. Nice tutorial Scootch. I was looking at my box of bits for the backpack and thinking how on earth will I attempt this now I have an idea.
  3. Looking forward to seeing these suits in the flesh. I have heard good things about them. That and our man Rolf on the case should make these something special. YOu're going to do a thread on this Rolf?
  4. You're on No1 on the new topic here
  5. All this stems from the fact that Matt didn't want to share freely, but make money out of something that was not his to make money from. In the end, it's just about the money for a few.My bit of plastic is worth more than your bit of plastic. Thank goodness for the knowledgeable ones who want to share without wanting some form of payment.
  6. Just to clarify Art the UK is unique in the fact we use both Imperial and Metric. Imperial measurments in the 70's would have been very common as even today all timber comes as imperial sizes 2x4" etc. The makers of the suits then would probably have used imperial rather than metric.
  7. You could try this site for some ideas. 3M do a nice range and with their gun system you can be accurate http://secure.silmid.com:80/ENG/catalogue/...ral%20Adhesives
  8. Welcome Jay.Does the new position come with added benefit of extra Jawa hunting rations?
  9. OK I'll be up for a run if there is demand for seven or more ( that get's free shipping to me which will cut costs ). Unfortunately I weighed these and to send Airsure to the US will be about £12 each. I have tried cheaper forms of shipping but they take forever. Let me get an exact costing but total will be between £20 -£25 each if everyone is happy with that. I will start a new thread tomorrow right now am off to bed.
  10. Like the comparison and absolutely spot on. Felthy bad!
  11. I going to bookmark this one. Should be good.
  12. Is this an original pic as I can see the ribbed shoulder straps which weren't part of the sandtrooper uniform, or did they stick TK ab detail over the TD ab detail?
  13. PM me and I will sort one out for you.
  14. I think he should be applauded, as he makes everyone else look well adjusted.
  15. Nice to know the details. There is certainly alot of reference for the gaffer tape Nice to know they have that in outer space. I wish there was one definitive picture pointing to the Rivets on a TD rather than a TK. I am sure they were constructed in the same way but there are differences in the two. Great pictures.
  16. That's what I thought, but I can't find any reference of this connected to TD only TK's. I don't have a huge amount of photo reference compared to some. aybe the weathering just covers it.
  17. Don't be shy someone must know, or is it a dumb ar*e question?
  18. I have just gone through the reference I have, as I am trying to find images of how the stomach plate is connected to the the back plate. Their is good reference that the TK's are riveted to the left side in three place and a silver connecting popper to the right, but I can't find definitive proof that the TD's are done like this. Any thoughts??
  19. This is looking rather superb. I was wondering when this was happening after reading about it on Propaganda. Looking forward to the next update.
  20. Looking slick, or should I say dang right dirty. Nice job.
  21. The problem is the batches seem to vary. The grey seems lighter now than before, so I may darken the 5. The original helmets have yellowed over time so this will effect the blue making it more green. I am personally rethinking the blue and may try and match according to the film reference rather than Humbrol stock colours.
  22. 13  that's alot to do, but I am sure you are the one to do it Rolf.
  23. These are great Mike - a nice extension of your building sticky over at the FISD
  24. I like both "move along" and "Look Sir"
