Can anyone place an order, seems that there are only 5 of them available. If anyone can, specially near or in Italy, placing the order ad then re-shiping them, I would be in for one. Any ideas? 12. LOL! It was a long time ago when I was the second/third overall poster of the Forum, with the fourth being at least 2000 posts behind. Now I am still third, Rolf is still second... you are WAAAAAAY ahead of us, and the fourth is just a minute behind me. I like how this statistics show the new push the forum has had in the last 3-4 years or so... Saludos.
  13. Im not doing bad, but it will take me a few years to get there I guess... Or not. Saludos
  14. AWESOME... Bright future for the detachment no doubt. Saludos
  15. Great opening bro... Here is my question. SWAT program was designed to be evaluated vs individual shots of specific troopers on the movie. We replicate armors as they look, but sometimes walk the extra extra mile to also make them like they were... That can turn into subjective appreciations and not as objective evaluations. We all accept and actually take a lot of pride on that. We as a Detachment makes us feel special, elite, as a whole... but some people outside the MEPD might see it as not clear or objective enough. What are your thoughts on these subjectivity-objectivity issues regarding SWAT program. Not asking for a solution, just your opinion. Good luck. Saludos PS. Will ask the same to the other candidates.
  16. A very Big congrats Brad! The DO position is one of the most demanding and most dynamic ones in the MEPD, and it requieres a lot of commitment and will. I am sure you have what it takes! Take us to the next level!! Having been there myself, even if back then the job was somehow easier, I know how it will be. So, if you need any help apart form Mike's and Rick's, just ask bro. Again, very well deserved designation. Congratulations Bro. Saludos. Juan
  17. Congrats Mike, Ben and Brad. This team will no doubt push the detachment further... Lots of work ahead, but great people to get it done! Saludos.
  18. Don't know boss... I really have no clue on programing and that sort of stuff. Bluey might know, also Eric... Saludos.
  19. Yes. The idea is to copy what we see on screen for a specific trooper in a specific scene. But truth is, most swat troopers have done that and more, modifying the armor how they think it should based on the overall knowledge we have on armor. So, if you study the submission threads progressively, you will see how things change from one to the next one. Because everyone wants to go a bit further. So the swat requirements are now almost guidelines cause most submissions go further. I think Bluey got it right (in a post I can't seem to find now) by saying he would make the mods even if we can't see it on screen. For me that is both the swat program (what we see) and the swat attitude (what we actually achieve). Btw, I modes my armors an plate using a lighter to heat the plate from behind and then gently pushing a AA battery into it to get the dimple. Then used the bit on the other side of the battery to push the simple back from the front and get the little hole on the middle of it. You can see that and others structural mods made to my TE2 armor on my Swat thread. Isn't this program awesome?! Saludos.
  20. Hi Lee. Welcome to the MEPD. Here you will find all you need to become a Sandtrooper and one of the most welcoming and most open communities on the whole internet. We are here for you so just get to read a lot and learn from what others have already walked so we can all go further. There are many awesome TDs on the UKG, I am sure at least a few most be near you. And about the armor, you are lucky to be in the uk, as the two most recognized armor makers are there: RS prop masters and Troopermaster. Look for them here on the forums, but also read about all the other armor makers so you can build your own opinion on armor and its makers. Saludos.
