  1. Hey guys, as for Matt B. I have no idea. He used to be in the garrison but got booted off for ??? No other offenses, just whammy. I dont know what one person could have done to been hated so badly. Shoot you would think that he killed one of there family I have no clue. I do know that we have been told that this is all going down because we supposedly trooped at a 327th scheduled event. Dont know what this has to do with anything but? Well, I will keep everyone up to date. Like I said, I am to old for this sh**
  2. Well guys, I know I have Pauldrons going out to some of you still and that will not change, but something that might is my ability to contact you here. I am in the process of being investigated, from my Garrison, for trooping with an evil person, or group in their minds at an autism walk in Pittsburg. M. B. , which I am sure everyone has heard of, or 327th ? another costuming group. Unsure of why, I have never did anything to anyone but help, and this is what I get. Only been in this 1.5 years and dont frequent boards except here, with fellow Sandtroopers. Troop as much as possible, and actually dont even party, to old, LOL. Well the reason I am contacting everyone is to let you knw if something happens, then I lose my ability to contact people or you to me, and I still intend on making Pauldrons. So if anyone is interested at anytime if something happens. Email me direct, and I will still be in touch.
  3. Exactly what I was thinking to start, then another pic, and tada. Good job on the weathering and the detail work, ammo box, t trax, and little washer thing, all check, and nicely done. Hope to see you deployed to the front lines soon brother... chief
  4. Hey, quick question. What does it take to be permitted to create swag for sale to our fellow troppers, such as t-shirts, sweats, and so on. The reason I am asking, is because of the hard economic times we are now in, and some prices that I see out there for clothing and other items. Well, my point is that I have access to a very good silk screen clothing printer, and can have t-shirts, sweat shirts, coats and so on in multiple colors made for alot less than some in other parts of the world, and am willing to help out. For instance, 4 color t shirt with front and back logo for less than $9.00 on Russell shirts. Two colors for less than $8.00 Sweat shirts for like $14 and hoodies for like $17 or less. Just wondering.
  5. Congrats!! at last brother. See you at the station..... Got alot of rif raf to deal with out there. Jay
  6. Very Cool pics my brother.. I especially like that Pauldron Hey on another note, as you recall on the FISD boards, it took me 5 days to get my approval cleared and posted on the 501st site, even though the GML approved my costume 5 days earlier. Wait for it, Wait for it, BLAST IT....
  7. Nice Pic brother, glad to see it. Now get out there and troop, make us proud. Oh on another note, white and black Pauldron near completion. Black is sold, white, and orange still up, if anyone wants them. Let me know. Jay
  8. Three more Pauldrons near completion. Black one is spoken for. Orange and White still available, and Rolf if you are near by, I have sent a package of color to you again. Since the last was lost. Jay If iterested send a PM for pricing and delivery
  9. No Problem, glad to be of service. If you have any problems let me know. If not, get that thing DIRTY and troop soldier. Jay
  10. Well, I just put my belt on my armor, and weathered it with my armor, so it looked like it was there through the whole storm thing. This way any dark streaks or dirt flashes look like they run right accross the armor and belt, I then took the belt off and finished weathering where the belt sit. Jay
  11. Hey, I use a rubbermaid large storage bin from Lowes, $29.00 It also has wheels on it. If you have anything like that there, check on that. I also just lined it in fleece, with contact cement. Jay
  12. Attached are pics of the three of mine. The newer ones that went out I like better, because of better binding, and my wife let me purchase a killer sewing machine to complete them. But these are cool, especially the one signed. Have it hangin on the wall.
  13. Marcel, Eddie, and Christian, they are on the way. The latter of the two should have by Thursday, and Marcel by Thurs or Friday next. Post up when you get them, and give us a pic or two. Jay
  14. Well, Pauldrons, Pauldrons, and more Pauldrons. The previous pics have changed somewhat by the binding material, and the rivets and buttons. Those that were out were changed to the new buttons. Just thought I would add a couple of pics of Pauldrons that have shipped to brothers. As you can see, the bottom is vinyl as well, which gives the raised panels more lift, durability, and strength. I also used elastic instead of velcro on the shoulder strap for a little flexability.
  15. Well, have to chime in on this one. I to gripe at the USPS quite often, even though the post master in my area is a good friend. I had a package lost going to Denmark. Yes, it was me who sent orange vinyl to our BRO who made the run of Pauldrons, and NO he has still never recieved it. Thats BS. Been over 10 weeks now. Have learned my lesson. From now on stick lots of insurance on it. If they think they will have to pay, they will take better care of making sure it gets there. Also always send registered, or priority. Shoot, last year, I sent a check 100 miles away... It never got to the location for 12 weeks. IT was even priority. chief
  16. Very COOL, Nice to have you on board brother. Jay
  17. Yo Lewis, For the side closures???? I was always told, and thought that it was to be closed, but I am not sure about the requirments for it as a TD. Someone else will have to chime in on that one that knows more than I. I do know it is a requirement at the FISD to get elite status, and thought it was here as well because they were in the film, but ehhhh really not sure now... On another note, Great weathering job, and nice details, details, details. Jay
  18. Hey AWSOME job, Looks great. Are you planning on closing up the Ab and back piece? Very cool and oh, nice BFG. I wonder who made that???? hahhaha Jay
  19. Very well said, Couldnt say it better myself. GREAT job. Excellent eye for detail.
  20. Hey, I have decided to make a few and just wanted to show them. These are for a couple brothers here, so I hope they are happy.
  21. Hey, I take it maybe you dont have access to Regular gun swivels? If you find you need one that just screws the mount in and then has a detachable swivel, let me know. I have an extra. Jay Also I see in the pics, what you say about the front strap. Thanks, I have just changed it.
  22. Ok, here are the three pics. It does look much better and is dead on I think. Great find, and much easier to fit on the gun as well. Hey also these things on Sportsmans Guide are original WWII slings, not reproductions. They are used though. Which even adds to the product. I can get them for $9.00 plus minimal shipping. If anyone would want some who cant get them let me know. I will help you out. Jay
  23. As for looks, they are great. They also came one darker olive, and one lighter. Almost like one had been washed or something. The one is a little olive/brown color. I am putting them together with the lighter of the two on top, and the darker on bottom. I will post pics hopefully tommorrow. TD 252 I think after looking at the pics closely, it does appear to be a rivet, button, or snap of some sorts,at the barrel end, but also looks like a couple of pieces crimped around the sling also which would be the brass parts of these slings. Jay
  24. Hey, I recieved two of the slings from Sportsmans guide, and they look great. One question. Are these light brown, or olive drab green? Looking at the screen caps, it appears the lower sling is much more olive drab, and the top is a little more washed out and brown. Any comments or other views. I am wondering what to do with these before installing them, and now am not sure whether to do anything... I could bleach maybe, and then use tea to color, but then again, the pics are ehhhh??? Still look a little olive drab?? Let me know what anyone else sees.
