Yes 11 is ancient for a ferret, 5 to 7 is the maximum age for a fuzzle...My oldest one now is nearly 8 and Lester is dying of adrenal cancer...90% of ferrets die from some form of cancer.....4 of mine have died from it since last year (I had 7 at this time last year,Smokie died of old age tho..) . now I have 2... Mollie is 2 and Lester is nearly 8...I make ferret bed and sleep sacks for them every year...a Sleep sack is like a small bag they curl up in and got to sleep...even tho ferrets have a fur coat they do not like being cold.....I also make them a sleep hammock too....usually two or three of them will pile on top of each other to get warm in the hammock... I make nearly all my gifts, and most of it is special foods I only make this time of the year...no matter who bugs me all year I only make it this time of the year. I also make some knitted items for my two grown up girls, and stuff for my two ferrets.....One of my ferrets just passed away a few weeks ago....she was nearly 11 years old..... No matter whee you are in this world, there will be a war or a rumor of wars... men who have dark evil hearts and minds that are full of greed and power against those they don't like because they don't like the way you live is a sad way to live...and dis-reguarding any human life and not caring who you kill when you blow up a bomb on innocent people..... I know this is a costuming site but right now I wish we DID have those Sandy troopers, as I'd be deploying them to Iran right now. As I am sitting here watching FOX NEWS, there has a been a terrorist plot that was being possibly fufilled with $100,000 was going to be transferred to a bank in NYC, that a car bomb was going to be made to attack the Israeli and Saudi Embassys here and also that the Ambassador to Saudi Arabia was to be assasinated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard through the Senior Members (Probably Imanutjob!) Iranian Gov. approval on US soil. Monies were going to be laundered through our border countries through the drug cartels and then sent to a bank in NYC After the asaasin had gotten his money it would of been carried out immediatly is what they are saying right now....Two men have been captured at the JFk airport, one is still at large in the US.... They were hoping to kill as many people as they could, and had no regard for human life here, they were only concerend to who and how many people that they could kill. After that other plots would of been done through the MExican Zata drug cartel to fund money for them!!! Two were arrested as they tried to come to the US on a fight that Mexico refused to let them land, they landed at JFK airport today and they were grabbed by the FBI... They are notifying the Saudi and Israeli embassys today and that Iran is now on a hawk watch list....if they are that bold to have assasination attemps on our soil...that opens a huge can of worms.....they wanted to make a point and do some thing that insideous and then boast on it...they don't care....it could be considered an act of war ! Makes me wonder what they are really doing in those nuclear plants in Iran.... IF they had been sucessful in Washington DC. they are saying that it would of killed huge numbers of innnocent people (Possibly Congressmembers) and we would be at war with Iran...I wouldn't hesitate a second to go over there and bomb the h=e- double hockey sticks out of them, then ask questions later... God protect the USA and our people from nuts like this who's only thought in life is to kill with no thoughts of other people lives in another country. Diana (ShortTrooper )

Rolf, I am glad you weren't in the towers that day...we would be missing a great person on here if you had been! I know a few people who thought it was a movie they were watching too until it was on all the channels after about 10 minutes. They were shocked that it was actually real....maybe we as a country had become numb and complacent to violence back then..... I know I don't watch war movies or games any more since then.... Glad that all are safe, and we in the USA will heal from the wounds of that day but we won't forget it. Diana (ShortTrooper )

A blessing for this day..... The terror threat that has been hanging over this country for the last 4 days has now been lessened.....they think now the terrorist act was done in Afghanistan as 77 of our brave troops were injured in an IED explosion outside the base this morning about 1 am EST......all 5 Afghanis were killed that did the bombing but none of our guys were killed...Thank you God for small favors!!!! Watching the Memorial service on FOX News...reading the names off and showing the names on the waterfall fountain.....they are on Charles Mendez name right now.....they won't be done till 1 pm Eastern time. Thank you Iron Ram and Dirty Trooper ... IT still seems surreal that this happened 10 years ago...I have the news papers from the Chicago Tribune and the Ottawa ILlinois Times on those days...President Bush spoke today in Shawshank PA as they dedicated the Memorial to the 40 brave passengers and crew who were killed when the plane went down there. A service was also held at the NYC Cathedral in NYC for the 312 Firemen, police and First responders in NYC...312 American Flags were put up in front of the Altar and the families were remembered with a special prayer ceremony....Mayor Bloomburg attended... And the Force will be with my nephew with all the prayers and thoughts going for him! He will possibly know in a few weeks where he is going to be deployed to...will let you guys know where... They are now saying that NYC and WAshington DC is under high alert and they are now saying that those reports are now credible and police and security have been beefed up even more...but police are now carrying automatic weapons and random checks on people in thier cars, tailers and trucks...and the overpasses, bridges and tunnels. At 9:02 am 10 years ago tomorrow, I saw a tower on fire in NYC on the TV, and Good Morning America was coming back on right after it had signed off....half an hour later, another plane flew into Tower #2 and I knew it wasent an accident then....then the Pentagon was hit and then the plane went down in Shanksville PA.... :( I will never forget the look on my kids faces as they were 7 and 11 at the time...they didn't know why Mom, Grandma and the neighbors were so upset at the time..scared & crying....now they see the scope of it all happening back then......they still can't believe we are still fighting an enemy that is still so evil and angry at us just for the way we live..... we now have my nephew, my kids cousin, David is now in the service and may be going to Afghanistan or Iraq...please pray for him for safety as he has a wife and 3 very small children at home. I bought one over the weekend (Anakin's version) and it's a pretty cool toy for a kid! IT could be a bit brighter but it's for lids and they could care less...they just want to see it light up and play with it. Mine is getting some use as I've had it out and played with it... Diana (ShortTrooper )

Chicago Bears won their Sept. !st game against the CLeveland Browns 24 to 14...it was a good game and better than their last two! Bears play the Falcons I think on Sunday the 11th.....If it's not pouring rain down South! Diana (ShortTrooper )

Chicago Bears still play at Soldier Field by the lake....practice camp was in Bourbonnais Illinois this year till it got so stinking hot and they had to move it indoors in the air conditioning. Diana (ShortTrooper)
