  1. I'm lucky enough to travel with my wife to San Francisco in febrary. Anything worthwhile checking out there? I'm planning on getting at least a peek on Mythbusters, if I'm lucky.
  2. Just remember, that according to the story in "Tales from Mos Eisley Cantina", Davin Felth actually shoots his officer in the back, and turns rebel.... Other than that, sandies for the win!
  3. In the novel "Shadow of the Empire", which portraits the time between ESB and ROTJ, we see Palpatine uses the rivalry between prince Xizor and Vader to his own agenda. He definitly IS the puppetmaster!
  4. "We actually DO have cookies!" Taken from the shirt that says "Join the Dark Side....we have cookies"
  5. Ok, time to show off my new bucket. I purchased an AP "flawed" kit, assembled it, and weathered it (some, at least). I'm not entirely satisfied with the weathering yet, might put in some darker colors as well, but here it is! http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd59/To...NOR/APTD001.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd59/To...NOR/APTD002.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd59/To...NOR/APTD003.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd59/To...NOR/APTD004.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd59/To...NOR/APTD005.jpg So... What do you guys think of it?
  6. Congrats! And am I "sensing" a future 501st trooper?
  7. Any possibility to get the handguard without the glove?
  8. Outstanding work as always, 252! And Gungrave: REALLY nice! I wish I was as talented as you guys... Guess it's back to training my drawing skills again!
  9. Well, I don't have a backpack...yet <_<
  10. I use a hard-case suitcase, which (just about) takes the entire armor. The helmet is carried in a motorbike helmet-bag.
  11. Here's me and my wife, attending a HUGE techno party (Sensation White, 2008, Amsterdam).
  12. If yoy want a cheap, but good, gun to start with, I recommend a brand called Jing Gong. They are basically Chinese copies of Tokyo Marui (which again is one of the biggest airsoft suppliers). If you want good and solid, Classic Army is very good. They come standard with a muzzle velocity of 350 feet per sec., and metal body. Last, but not least, Tokyo Marui is launching a new M4. Which includes metal body, recoil system, bolt stopper (stops when your out of ammo in the mag, and you have to operate the bolt catch release). See more of that, here: http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=xIO7SCrYcuA Good luck!
  13. I can relate to that! I always tell people that my mental age is "somewhat lower" than my real one...
  14. Well, I'm not the youngest or the oldest, but my 32nd birthday is... TODAY!!!
  15. Both cheese-grater and ANH style handplates are used.
  16. Thanks, but I've just received an PM from TM on the FISD forums, so I'll be squared of now. Thanks for the replies! Of course, now I'll start taking pics on my progress...
  17. Well, since I live in Norway, I think a US supplier will be more expensive..... But thanks for the advice, and I've already made a topic on FISD.
  18. Well, I managed to procure a "flawed" helmet from AP! Only thing I need now, is the rubber "head-band" and around bucket opening... So, where's the best place to get these? I searched the forums, and found one thread that said sealsdirect.co.uk had some items that fitted, but are they the only one?
  19. What's wrong with paperbacks? They are the same books, only in a smaller and more convenient package. Anyways... I've read all of Timothy Zahns SW books, they're IMO the best there is! Kevin J. Anderson writes good as well, the same applies to Michal Stackpole and his X-Wing books. My favorite has to be the short story about 501st in Allegiance, by Zahn. Even though the story is placed in the New Jedi Order era.
  20. When trying to enter the forum via the main mepd.net page, it links to sandtrooper.net. And it doesn't show the forums.
  21. I still remember that day... Man, what a shock it was.
