  1. Just arrived in time for MidOhio: Hyperfirm T-21/Lewis gun! Now to add a touch of weathering . . .
  2. Drats. Seems like I missed the auction end-date for those slings Just ordered a HF Lewis gun, too.
  3. And . . . here I am. Don't mind the pink . . . heh. At a local Toys'R'Us event for the release of the Clone Wars toyline series. Any feedback/suggestions would be great. Thanks!
  4. Thanks! I bought it at Home Depot for $60. It holds all the armor plus the MP-15 (broken down). It has a generic lock built into the front, but also has two latches that have rooms for your own locks as well. It even has wheels! I love it!
  5. Hey folks! This past week, I bought some TD armor from a fellow Ohio Garrison member. Much to my delight, the armor was weathered in a similiar fashion as my TE2 bucket. Don't mind the clean white shoes! Those will be weathered soon. Pictured is the set of armor with my helmet, the MG-15 and the giant tool-box I bought today to carry the armor. I wasn't able to get the backpack pictured, but once I take a picture of it, I'll post it. Comments, suggestions on the weathering are welcome! Jason
  6. I've been looking for one too. Triktoys has a couple options. Are these any good? Skullworx seems to be sold out
  7. What do you guys use in your helmets? Also, where can they be purchased? Thanks.
  8. It is so pretty! I have one too, but I kept the "bumps" and other imperfections along the brow for some character. It also added to the weathering effects, too. Personal preference, I suppose. Keep us updated on your progress!
  9. I'm new to this board so I can't speak for a lot of experience, but everyone has been nothing but supportive and helpful to a "noob". I'm not sure I can say that about all groups (Detachment/501st/Star Wars or otherwise), so give yourselves a pat on the back This truely is one of the strongest Detachments in the 501st community.
  10. These pictures aren't the best, but hopefully you'll get the idea. I attached the mics, lenses and screen behind the frown this evening. Comments and suggestions are welcome! And you can see someone's signature! And the front again in different lighting. It looks a bit washed out.
  11. Very nice! Your friend is an excellent photographer, too. Well done!
  12. Yeah, I have a lot of black in there. I have a dark brown, a reddish-brown kinda like rust and a light sandy color. I'll apply some more of the tan tonight. I've been doing it layers and started with the darks first. I'm afraid of going too dirty.
  13. How did you get the chin to look rusty and dinged up? It's awesome!
  14. Here are two more additional pictures. I'm hoping the daylight helped with the clearity. Comments and suggestions welcome
  15. Oh, that is awesome! I'm sure your son is very grateful. Make sure you keep it when he grows out of it and give it to him once he is older. Maybe grandchildren could wear it in years to come!
  16. I have Hovi Mic tips. They have an off-white capping on the back of them.
  17. Well, when I applied them, I wasn't sure I was going to do the weathering but the mood struck me after the fact. Not to change the subject, but two questions: What is prefered for a liner of the helmet? How do I attach the Hovi Mic tips? In the future, I'd like to add speakers to them, so something that can be attached/detached would be appreciated.
  18. Not sure what ya mean by that, but I applied the decals before the weathering. My cellphone doesn't get the clearest pictures, so some of the weathering on the decals didn't show up with great clearity, but it is there.
