    TE2 suit.

very nice! all it needs is dirt! =)
  2. Nice... Perhaps it is a good thing we don't have kfc here in Norway after all =)
  3. cool stuff, thanks for sharing!
  4. very cool! and nice r2d2 too!
  5. cool! but you might want to make sure that the black border stays black, you can see some of the layers on top sticking out onto the black border on the left side, both on top and down. other than that:
  6. The only downside with that helmet (i have one as well) is that it is very soft, so the paint easily cracks and falls off. Not really sure about what to do to prevent it, but you might want to search over at the whitearmor forums for some threads for some tricks to make the paint stick better! It is not a problem if you are only going to use it for display tho. Good luck with your new helmet!

    TE2 suit.

Awesome stuff Rolf! Keep posting pictures of the progress!
  8. Sorry for your loss. My condolences to you as well.
  9. Good job on the weathering! looking very nice!
  10. You might try to draw the tube stripes on a piece of paper, then cut them out, and use tape to keep the sheet of paper in place on the helmet while you use a fine brush to paint the stripes? Try to make sure that the paint does not run, so apply in small doses. If you are not comfortable having the paper there while you paint, you can perhaps use a pencil to loosely trace where the stripes should be, then "fill in the blanks" with paint afterwards! It helped me at least, perhaps worth a shot! Good luck!
  11. The armor is really nice! The blue color on the backpack might be a bit off? I am no expert but i think it is supposed to be a lighter blue? Good luck with getting the clearance and 501st!
  12. All you would need now is a donkey or a horse with a dewback suit!
  13. I would perhaps have added a bit more dirt, but thats up to you! You should experiment with using a sponge and a bit watered down paint (if you are using acrylic paints), as you can get some interesting textures with that. Good luck with the rest of the armor, keep the pictures coming!
  14. looking good! might recommend a bit more dirt where your mics are, as in that "cave" where they are placed, a lot of dirt would stick... other than that:
  15. If i remember correctly, some people have advised that one uses cheap hairspray as a sealer, but you might want to have someone else confirm that one. Then there is also the issue if the sealer dulls the shine on the armor or not, and that might be a good thing or not depending on what you are looking for. There should also be possible to use the stuff one has on top of coal drawings, but again you should have someone confirm this, as i have not done so on my helmet as it is mainly for display (so far). Good luck!
  16. Not really sure what question you are asking? Anyway, the weathering tutorial applies for all kinds of colors. You can just mix them yourself so you get what you like.
  17. Excessive awesomeness as usual I wish i had done more grey/black weathering as well as the sand color on my helmet. Perhaps not too late to add.... =) Your skills are impressive!
  18. i agree! Nice job anyway tho! =)
  19. Thank you for the pictures and enlightenment! =)
  20. Good looking armor! Although i would suggest you should put more dirt on your belly in all the corners of the greeblies on your armor, and perhaps play with more "shades" of dirt, to make your armor look even more awesome! But no matter what you choose to do, it is still a very awesome looking armor you have there! Good luck!
  21. If you are wondering where your different puches are supposed to be, i would suggest going to the looksirdroids site and look at the HD screenshots for reference!
  22. 1. The front page got me hooked enough to register the forum, so i would say it is useful! 2. Yes, "view new posts" still works! =) 3. Yes! Perhaps if it was possible, we should make a forum section dedicated to hosting tutorials, and perhaps store copies of images from the tutorials on the same server as the forums, so that one can still see the images when the original host deletes the pictures. It is very annoying when you finally find a tutorial but only face red X`s/ "file not found". Then we could link from the requirements page to the correct tutorials/resource. 4. Not sure. 5. Looksirdroids is a great page with lots of good info and pictures, but it would perhaps be more convenient to host it on mepd as well? Just suggestions, i will post more if i come up with anything else.
  23. Very nice! Remember that dirt usually sticks in corners, not so much on exposed surfaces!
