  4. in the beret pic,,,,what is the trooper in the centre of the shot,, looks awesome, but id be guessing to figure out what he is???
  5. i do it to everything .. paint it on,,,EVERYWHERE...and rub most of it off. gives a better impression of dirt than painting it on in spots, plus it feathers the edges really well heres another example
  6. Does it???? Goddammit!!!! seriously tho, chin up mate, no matter how bad it seems, you still have your health, a loving family with you, material things are replaceable, recorded memories, not so, but soon will come a time to build new fond memories and in time all this will fade to a distant memory
  7. Im sure most of us have one or at the very least seen one or two versions of the Medicom Super-Deformed TKs. Limited production of 2,005 peices and until recently only available in japan. exclusive lil guy i guess. well I have one and have had to put up with him being,,,,god forbid,,,,clean,,,,, shiny (bleee..aaack) white. well i thought id put my skills at weathering to the test....on a slightly smaller scale and see what happens With one S-D TK, brush, TD paint and trusty kitchen sponge/scourer, i set off to devalue my collectable with trusty scourer bit of sponge, and after paint had dried I set about removing most of it to end up with this After cutting out my "tally-**" packet (rolly papers) pauldron and colouring it in it was attached.... Weathered the backpack the same as everything else i weather,,,cover it in paint and rub most of it off (dosent show brush strokes) The pack also comes off a 13" Kotobukiya TD that sadly didnt survive the trip to Q from V last year and fits quite nicely Oh yeah the ammo pouches are a rectangle peice of card wrapped in a few layers of masking tape and coloured with perm marker, scored to show a little detail and glued on pretty happy with the way he turned out, if i could afford dishin out another $150 or so to devalue another one i would....hmmmm sgt....cpl...
  8. wow...mate if i didnt know better id think i was lookin at my own suit!!!! never thought id see someone whose weathering technique has the same result

  14. well ya all remember the time ya mother says "Dont cut back towards yaself" well.....most recent injury to my right thumb was juuuust slicing a very small peice of thigh armour, with mums message flashing in my brain,,,thinkin "well its only a teeny weeny bit... After 41 years ya think i learnt anything....obviously not.. ...suffice to say...LISTEN TO YA MUM !!! one slip,,,one inch long slice into the juicy bit of my thumb with one new un used sharp blade=no pain... it does however mean Niagra Falls out the end of my thumb...oh and not to forget the Ambulance trip to the Hospital for 6 stitches Ambulance= overkill....yes...but i did it at work so they paid...quite funny really as the Hospital was only a block and a half from work,,,in fact i could see the place from where i did me thumb
  15. all ya really gotta remember when weathering is dry sandy arid colours,,,tatooine afterall is dry,,no water whatsoever,,,otherwise there wouldnt be moisture farmers who use condensors to literally "pull" the moisture from the atmosphere. so do your best to avoid any weathering that "looks" like mud...we are SANDtroopers afterall not MUDtroopers other than that mate ya pack looks great!!

  18. As most of you may know through local news broadcasts, the state of Victoria, here in Australia has been ravaged by what can only be called an Apocolyptic Fire Storm. With absolutely NO warning, on a day where state temperatures reached 48 deg Celsius ( 118 deg Fahrenheit ) and gale force inland winds reaching over 100 kph (62.1 mph) totally annihilated regional townships, burning everything to the ground. People perished in family groups attempting to shelter in their homes, or trying to escape the onslaught in the streets or trying to get away in cars. Several towns are closed off and are considered "crime scenes" as people have perished in streets, front yards, roads...,and several fires have been deliberately lit. So far 180 souls have perished in these towns,,that number is expected to rise to over 300,,over 1800 homes have been destroyed, with over 5000 people now displaced and living in makeshift tent cities, thanks to the help of the Australian Army Through donations to Red Cross Australia, the Government and population of Australia, including corporate and small business, as well as donations from numerous other countries have so far totalled a staggering $ 77 MILLION To help our fellow countrymen,in ONE DAY the Queensland Squad (Redbacks) of the Terror Australis Garrison have so far, with last nights Game On troop at the Queensland State Library and Moxxies (TK-6232) awesome effort yesterday, the Redback Squad have collectively accumulated a staggering amount for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, through Red Cross Australia $ 2 5, 5 7 4 . 1 5

  20. from the outside looking in, they appear to be cheaper, but theyre NOT, for the folks that live and work in the U.S. the cost of EVERYTHING in the U.S. is offset to the cost of living and minimum wage I doubt the guys in the U.S. think their cars, houses, fuel or even bread n milk are cheap
