  1. Nice work there bro! Nothing beats painted armor. Looks it has bit more substance in it. May I know is the undercoat/primer in white also? Thanks for sharing!
  2. Howbout a tour round your house? You got armour everywhere! Thanks for sharing!
  3. Hey Rolf as usual very speedy work there! Are the strips in 20mm for the legs and 15mm for the arms? As for painting is it necessary to sand the whole suit? Will you be using primer? It will be great if you could document the painting process in detail. Enough playing with your nose and get back to work!
  4. My dad was gone too soon. I believe they are in a better place now. My condolences to you and your family.
  5. At this level of damage I think the weathering just looks too clean which makes the whole thing kinda of artificial. There is only one tone of weathering (brown) and it looks more like camouflage effect rather than dirt while the white areas where you created the damages are too clean. Try working with brush or sponge will give you amazing results. Overall I like a helmet which has a story to tell and I'm inspired to something like this too! Thanks for sharing! Just my 2 cents!
  6. Thanks Rolf for pointing to the photos. To be honest, my Cushman MG was like a trip to **** and back but I think I nailed it quite nicely. I'll get some pics for you soon. The MG15 however looks better this time. I'm tempted to order now but realise there is no scope. Will there be plans to add the scope?
  7. Hello! Looking good. Do you have photos of other angles? How much is it? Thanks!
  8. Great find there! All you need now is a mini-me! Get working bro!
  9. Thanks for sharing. Its such a feast to the eyes. Now I love my TE2 even more!
  10. Congrats to Mike! Looks like you've got the dream team in place. Will spread the good news to my garrison.
  11. Yes if HDPE then I have something to share. I have the last piece of TE's HDPE after he stopped production. Is paper-thin so it is very flimsy but it has the sharpest detailing. This material is not easy to work on and requires very skilful hands and experience. It WILL NOT hold paint well for long. For some reason I knew I shouldn't but I used it to troop the painwork cracked and chipped off. Get TE2 if you want peace of mind trooping and keep the TE strictly for display. Just my 2 cents!
  12. Really nice work there. You have good eye for dirt and patience to execute all the difficult details well. Looking forward to see the finished work. Thanks for sharing!
  13. MFX. I've seen the actual stuff.
  14. I like the PVC frame. Save the trouble of bending metal yet the final look is equally good!
  15. This is an exciting day! Let's get him an orange pauldron too!
  16. Those cheegraters are just mean looking! That looks like a new paudron to me. Its clean!
  17. I'm happy if this could up the level of enthusiasm among fellow troopers to want to try building their own pack. While we wait for the original prop to be uncovered, everybody is still able to scratch-build one with low cost everyday parts yet look quite decent. Thanks for looking.
  18. Tk4510, Thanks but you have a hand in this too through your postings. They are valuble contributions! Tony, Wow getting words from the cave-man is really something! You've made my day! Zac, Thanks bro! So this is the thing I'm been working on otherwise I would have grapped that pack of yours in the very first instance! Hope it has found a good home now!
  19. I'm surprised and overwhelmed by all the compliements. I'm just a regular guy trying to meet the requirement of an elite sandtrooper and with the support from you guys I know the leaning process down the road will be fun and enjoyable. Hey Rolf thanks for dropping by. Now that I'm done with the pack its time to focus on a set of new armor and will use your TM as study. So now you become my pinup hero on the wall, any problem?
  20. let me know if you still need a piece for your mortor tube... Hey bro appreciate your help. Seth helped me locate the part so thats been resolved. You can never run out of helpful people in this forum! Thanks!
  21. Its a mix feeling. Its fun but soo agonizing at the same time because unlike any regular prop project this one you have to cook up your own recipe before you can even prepare the ingredients and cook the dish. I actually carry with me printouts of images from movie and from Mike's library whenever i go in search of suitable parts. The weight issue is the question I hope nobody will ask. You are spot on the pack was not light when completed. I will weigh it and let you know. If trooping prove to be difficult i might have to replace some parts with Mike's provided he makes them again but that will be much later. Thanks for looking.
  22. Johnathan thank you for your patience. Not sure how useful this is for you but will certainly be happy to share ideas with you. Hope to join you as a TD soon!
  23. Thanks for all the very kind words. I'm glad everyone enjoyed and bothered to browse through the pics. Mike no way my work be put with yours. Truth is your generous sharing of knowledge has made this possible.
  24. Finally completed my backpack! I'm still hunting for the motar tube control plate so thats missing in the pics now. Next I'll be tackling a new set of armor and together with this pack I will submit for deployment application. Hope the pack will qualify. Thanks for looking.
  25. Here's an earlier shot of the radio. The acrylic pieces were still in brown paper and the unpainted plastic disc made up of a water bottle base and an outside ring which is a seedling growing tray from a nursery. Thanks for looking.
