  1. OK, I'm still getting the hang of this, but here are some of the adventures (tours) I've had compiled from the year! Enjoy I've always had a "TD" but it wasn't MEPD spec until right before Dragon Con 2007, so let's start there Starting off with Dragon Con 2007: Then came my first troop with Carolina Garrison at the Raleigh Christmas parade 17 NOV 2007. I can be seen escorting a Tusken "Informant" with TD409 on my far left: Another Christmas parade only a few days later on 1 Dec 2007, I was still naive to the gray pauldron debacle at this point. I went from White which was correct back to Gray... Why I don't know.... Noneless many troopers had them so we looked like a unit: Christmas was busy as we were invited to a Children's Christmas party for the families of a nearby Air Force Base at Goldsboro, NC: Here we are conducting a HUMINT operation with some loyal Imperial Citizens: New Bucket!!!! Finally replaced my crappy painted ESB fiberglass helmet with a ABS pull from Kaminoclone from the UK Garrison here at StellarCON 2008 in High Point NC: Here I am providing security for lord Vader:
  2. I had a great time! I wish I could have done the whole weekend, but it was awesome trooping with you as always, Todd!
  3. Wow. I hope they bring that thing to a major event to get photo ops
  4. I replaced my expensive underarmor with US ARMY issue Black Silkweights. You can ebay them for approximately $20-25 for set consisting of a top and bottom. They dry faster and are much lighter, although it is borderline free-balling so it may seem a little uneasy for some people. They are also something you don't wear underwear with. I have 3 sets. One for my TK for Vader's enterouge at official events and two for my TD, my primary costume for events where I may be wearing it more than one day. 3 sets is still less than one set of form-fitting underarmor. Two of mine were issued to me Also, they have thumbholes that prevent sleaves from bunching up http://search.stores.ebay.com/Raven-Quest-...1849790QQsofpZ0

That is histerical! I treat it like when someone forgets to zip their pants up after coming from the bathroom. "Uh dude, shhh...' There's a... Ummm... There's a pauldron on your shoulder, you know that right....?" "Yeah, so?" "Yeah......" Nevermind. lol
  6. Curse this bloody voting page! My browser accidentally defaulted to 0 stars! Interpret my rating of 0 as a 5 or push the reset button since I am first to vote.
  7. Got this off Ebay for $6: It measures 14" X 18" of everyone's favorite scene
  8. Everything you need to get you can buy and alter from Walmart... At least to start.
  9. There really doesn't seem to be any wrong configuration provided the components are the same. Each part appears modular looks as though it could be removed or rearranged with mission or MOS specific equipment. I went ahead and used industrial velcro with ABS panels on my main boxes so I can attach them in any order and makes it easy to pack up. I will post some pics after I get suited up at tommorrow's con. Awesome reference pics!
  10. Hey that's the Neiman Marcus Parade and my old Garrison Looks great nonetheless!
  11. Thanks for posting Todd! This was a great event! I only wish the shoot was a few days later, I just bought a hyperfirm DLT-19 from Slave5 like two days before the photoshoot, which would have been great to have. Still I put it to good use on Free Comic Book Day:
  12. Hey Todd! Pics look great buddy! Here is our Free Comic Day pics from Goldsboro, NC on Saturday: Our Comic Store was pretty small so we did photo ops outside. Your store looks pretty big.
  13. Looks good. I am refitting my pack similarly. The mortar tube looks honkin' huge. I like it! In fact, practically it would be likely to have a larger medium mortar at Battalion level (81mm) as opposed to the 60mm at the company level. I kinda always thought they were anti-armor weapons like LAWs or RPGs and not mortars. And why would each trooper have one? Who came up with that anyway?
  14. This is what I've been trooping with for the last two years. I gotta say, although heavier, yes... It's great for the detail and the occasional smart-*** kid who goes up to you and says: "That's not a real gun," then smacks it, hurts his hand realizing it's metal, and becomes a true believer. I love my MR E-11... I only wish I had a metal DLT-19/MG-34 as detailed for the same effect. Here's it in action: TD-409 left. TD-9914 (me) right with E-11 MR
  15. Actually, if you look up cheaperthandirt.com, sportsman's guide or any shooting magazine, you can find rail-mounted lasers that are afordable and easy to attach- better than a cheapo laser pointer from Radio Shack. These are smaller and look like they belong on the E-11. They even have a little pressure switch you can put on the trigger, so if you are crafty enough, you can get a fog machine going at an appropriate event and have a little "Slight Weapons Malfunction" in the detention block
  16. Those look comfy! The spray paint job almost solves the weathering detail also. You'd think Sandtroopers would have more specialized footwear along with everything else?
  17. I noticed too that all the Sandtroopers with drop boxes are lower ranked Black Pauldroned-Corporals. They don't have additional ammo pouches and their kits look less customized than the PL and Sergeant. Could they be recently-trained Stormtroopers? Kinda like newbs?
  18. Hi all! I finally remembered my password and can finally post on here! I've been trooping with an MR E-11, since I like the weight and realism vs plastic, but being a TD, I have been hunting down a good DLT-19. I obtained a Cushman like above and even picked up the replacement barrel shrouds for it, and it's still less than satisfactory. I had even grabbed the .22 conversion kit but that was only so so. What's a good retail price for a Hyperfirm DLT-19/MG-34? I've spotted one for decent price but don't want to overpay. What do you all think?
