  1. I have been meaning to play with that stuff for ages now, just never got a chance.
  2. They all look the same, it seemed like the safe thing to do.
  3. I just got mine today, it looks great. I can't wait to dirty it up.
  4. TD-4544 requesting access. I know I had it before, seems like I slipped off at some point...
  5. I'll admit it: I'm jealous. Congrats!
  6. There are times when I am astonished by the effort and quality and level of detail that I see here. This is one of those times.
  7. Wow. I want one! That's got to be the best E-11 to date.
  8. Thanks much! I had the DTL-19 done for quite some time, it's the pack that was a bigger pain.
  9. Actually I do have the t-tracks, the pictures just suck. Take a look at this pic: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3243/253948...6def1f710_o.jpg
  10. I just got word from my GML, I'm officially a TD now! I've been trooping unofficially for over a year now, I guess it was about time.
  11. Thanks all. I'm embarrassed by how long it took me to get the suit and pack up to scratch. But I'm glad I didn't rush it.
  12. Ed Silva, Legion ID 4544, mepd login: tk4544, Midwest Garrison. I finally got my pack together and think I'm set for deployment, so here is my humble submission: The full set is HERE. There are a couple of pics in the set where the background has been removed and replaced with green for easy photoshopping should I be deemed worthy. I have to apologize for the picture quality: trying to work the self-timer on my camera while wearing gloves turned out to be a bit harder than I hoped.
  13. On my next attempt I'm going to cut out the webbing between the ribs and glue them closer together, I think that will help the look quite a bit. Anyone have definitive height and width measurements for the filter?
  14. Nah, the wife is 501st, so she knows what's up. Besides I bought a new mat to replace the one I used.
  15. Here's the completed pack: I think the tube needs to be both wider and a bit longer than the one I am using, but the look of it seems pretty good to me, especially considering how easy it was to make. And since I have a lot left over I'm sure my next one will be even better.
  16. Here's the part painted: You can make out the webbing in between the ribs when you look up close, but I think from far back you won't notice. I'll post more pics when I get it fitted onto my pack.
  17. Okay, this is a bit weird, but bear with me. So... my wife bought a bath mat at Target for ~$12, so she could wash the dog without the dog slipping and sliding all over the place. She had it rolled up in a corner of one of the bathrooms, which is where I saw it and had an epiphany. The texture looks just like the air/oil filter on the white dial pack! Here's a URL for the product at wallmart (only place I could find it listed online): Rubbermaid Bath Mat I went to Target to try and find another but couldn't find any more. So I bought a different one for the dog and have since used it to make this: It needs to be painted and weathered, but I think it looks pretty good for a slightly used bath mat. Any thoughts?
  18. I just want to say that all the detective work and creative work recreating the dial graphics (and I hope soon the actual radio boxes) is just amazing and just proves to me that this is a truly great group of people. All of you are an inspiration. Fantastic work, everyone!
  19. Having a wife who's into horses (as well as Star Wars) I have found out that searching for 'saddle seat' boots works out. I found these today: Jodhpur Boots Just googling around you should be able to find some suitable boots. Get some White Meltonian Nu Life Shoe Spray and you'll have some nice authentic trooper boots.
