DirtyBoy
Hey Rick, (Dirty Boy) I was interested in purchasing one of your packs or pack kits. I can't get onto your website or message you. I'm looking to join the 501st by the end of the year or early next year as a HWT. Dumb question but is there a difference in pack from a sandtrooper and HWT? Other then the cleanliness. Can you please message me back with some prices/ options? Thanks in advance, Paul Hey Paul, give me a shout at email address DirtyBoySquad@yahoo.com
crashmann
Hi Paul, in the olden days, you could qualify as a HWT trooper with a Sandtrooper backpack. Then Quartermaster came along and created a backpack based on the Battlefront videogame and set the standard very high. Here's some discussion about the HWT backpack versus sandtrooper backpack: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31711-hwt-backpack-vs-sandtrooper-backpack/?hl=%2Bhwt+%2Bbackpack Check out the FISD forum for some of the build ups: Quartermaster (the first) http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/15118-hwt-backpack-v4-by-quartermaster/ UKSWrath (known for his very thorough build threads) http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30034-hwt-backpack-build-part-1/ If you are truly going for HWT designation, then be sure to check out the sordid details in the 501st CRL: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_hwt Or, you could have fun with us in the sandbox! EmpireJAG
What is the best way to rig the pack for wearing without damaging your backplate? Thanks
DirtyBoy
There's not really anything on the back of a pack that could cause damage
berkal
Here is my own pack #5 made from a mix of dirtyboy and crashmann parts, real tuppercraft sto-n-go and radar dish. Paint is "moon blue"... URL=http://s447.photobucket.com/user/wannabeuk/media/WP_20160124_20_45_58_Rich.jpg.html][/url] The overly large filter, which I made out of a wet-wipes bottle and draught seal will be soon replaced with a 3D printed model that I designed... I shall also soon be adding some 3D printed "mystery" box greeblies, again that I modelled from scratch... Let me know what you guys think.
