ANHTDGUY
So today I finished assembling my back and chest armor, meaning I would not have to dissable or anything again and I decided to use thread lock on the nuts on the brackets..... Not a good idea..... The thread lock attacked and cracked and blew out the holes I drilled for my brackets. Now I must spend countless hours repairing, sanding and redrilling holes to repair my armor. The point is, if you use one of these bracketing systems for your armor, use super glue on the nuts instead of thread lock or lock tight. Hope this helps someone avoid the same mistake and problem as mine. Sent from my VS880PP using Tapatalk
Asher
Thank you for this post. I am close to doing my straps and had given a thought to that. I am saddened that this has happened to your armor. Any idea why that happened or what about lock tight made it do that?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
deckard1138
Sorry to hear that bro, I almost used it on mine too. That sucks....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ANHTDGUY
Not sure, something in the chemical composition that the abs plastic did not like. Just be sure to use super glue to secure the nuts in place.Sent from my VS880PP using Tapatalk
LoveMonkey
You could also try E6000, should be gentle on it. Sorry to see this happen to you.
Airborne Trooper
Ouch, I've seen people do this a few times. I always recommend E6000 because it's reversible. Never know when you need to remove something.

ANHTDGUY
Repairs and partial weathering complete. Well after many days and hours of nearly crying in a fetal position after my horrendous and tragic accident, I have finally completed my repairs.I added abs plastic reinforcement strips and longer screws as well. But needless to say on this day victory is mine my friends.Sent from my VS880PP using Tapatalk
