Arch27
Hey all - I'm converting a beat up RT-Mod TK kit into a TD. How beat up? Well, the guy I bought it off of used pop rivets instead of adhesive for all the leg connections, for starters. He also used them in the shoulder strap assembly. I got a new TD ab plate and the correct diamond knee plate, but I had a question or two. Here's the torso parts all together. I was playing around with weathering when I started this project a couple of years ago, which is why one forearm is dirty already (so just ignore that... I'm going to redo it). Anyway you might be able to see two things: 1 - The ab plate button area is missing the bottom indent. 2 - The chest piece shoulder area has two nubs where the TK plastic shoulder straps align. My questions are: 1 - Should I alter that ab plate button area to include the indent? I am rather sure I can heat up something metal (like a nail or putty knife) and create it. 2 - Should I try to heat up and flatten out those nubs? They're going to ultimately be covered by the pauldron and ammo pouch.
FIVE
It's a VERY easy mod to alter the ab plate... you can see how I did mine here... I say do it! I'd say leave the nubs... they'll be hidden.

I figured it'd be easy to make that notch/groove. Suppose I'll do it
Arch27
I know it's nearly a year later, but I did finish my TD. I'm on the right!
