Lasse
I found this vintage leather MP40 pouch - only paid 10usd for it, so I'm hoping I can use it. It is dark green in colour, so I'll have to dye it if it is useable (tips on how to colour it are much appreciated) What do you think? trooper1
You will have some alterations to do it. namely the shape of the flaps, and then will just have to check measurements. Is it the size you need? If so, it looks great! Flap shape wont be hard to fix either.
FIVE
Depends on how accurate you want to make it or what your end goal is for it. It would work "as is" shape wise for police officer deployment, but would need to be painted black — which I would try light dusting of black spray-paint on the back... see if it works, and if so do it that way while leaving some green showing through. But, if you want to go SWAT with it it's not going to work anyway... so don't even try modding it. If you want it to just LOOK closer, then yeah, some alterations. I'd say just color it and leave it (maybe trim the flaps to more of a "V" shape) but it's pretty nice as is.
Lasse
V shape?? The leather pouches have pretty square flaps don't they?
woodman
No the ends of the flaps are rounded off in a soft "V" shape on the original pouches
