supa troop
was wondering if anybody had used acrylic paint called basics? i see in like every crafts store. Ive just had my fuller's earth arrive from the state's i believe this to be the better way, if you apply to much it wipes off etc etc.
f0xtrooper
was wondering if anybody had used acrylic paint called basics? i see in like every crafts store. Found the "basics" burnt umber was very red. Didnt bother using it in the end I went with "folkart 59ml" paints instead. Burnt / raw umber and sand working from darkest to lightest. You dont need nearly as much acrylic for weathering as you might think.

ground pounder
I used acrylic paint (folkart type) nutmeg, burnt umber, country tan, and very small amount of black. Mixed it with water so it was very runny and put it on. Worked great. Here is a pic from back when I did it.

pandatrooper
I used Liquitex Basics in my weathering. You just need to mix the colors correctly if you want this look. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7290
Obievon
Yes I used Liquitex Basics also, great stuff. I used multiple washes and used sponging technique. Layered it on, to get this look.
