Arppegio
Hi all, Within the next two weeks I'll be getting my new RT Mod bucket. I was wondering though if anyone knows a good source to get Sandtrooper vinyl decals other than FJ Harris? Are there other sources to go to directly? I've ordered from him before but I never received my decals and he never responded back to my emails last year. It was during September but not during the hurricanes. So now I'm just wondering if there's another place to go? Or is painting what most TD's do? If so, what's the recommended paint type/brand and color? troopermaster
Try this guy http://www.trooperdecals.com/ He has all different decals for movie size helmets and FX too.The original helmets were painted if you want to go for authenticity but not everybody can paint.Decals are easy to apply and this guy also makes a sandtrooper version too. -Paul. YES! I purchased my blue stripes from him. Great quality and fast shipment, even over seas.
avatar_man
I painted all of the gray areas and the frown and then made my own Bubble Jet water slide decals for the tube stripes (just like model making when you were a kid)... the paper is readily available, and takes 600 DPI printing to really get them to look nice. You seal it with matte clear coat and let it dry at least 8 hours, trim and treat just like model decals, use sealer or allow to flake off with weathering for a lived in look... best part is that it's cheap and easy to replace... Here is a link to the paper: http://www.papilio.com/inkjet%20watersl ... media.html Here is a snapshot of mine, let me know how they look... Captain4434
Same questions, I am finishing up my RT Mod and would like to replace the standard TK decals with plain old grey Sandtrooper decals.
SethB6025
www.trooperdecals.com for sure. He has TD stickers, or if you paint those, he has blue vent decals too, prompt shipping, stand-up guy.
Arppegio
Thanks guys. I ended up going with http://www.trooperdecals.com/. But thanks, avatar_man, for that other link. I may have to try that method one day. Never know when that could come in handy. Plus it's always good to "do it yourself". Well....sometimes it's good depending on how accident prone you are, but I digress.
