iconoclasta_88 Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 A couple of weeks ago the Mexican Garrison attended ExpoColeccionistas 2011, the largest SW and Sci-Fi collectibles convention in our country. We had about 50 troopers of all designations trooping and marching around, and an IMPRESSIVE set for the 501st. Lord Vader would be proud of us I am sure! The convention special guests were Jerome Blake (Mas Amedda from Ep III), Joe Viskocil (FX designer for the ANH, ESB and ROTJ), and authors and Collectors Duncan Jenkins and Gus Lopez. Also, some Mexican comic illustrators and authors, and even Mexican Free Wrestling (Lucha Libre) legend: Blue Demon! It was an awesome troop and we had a great time. The 501st was without a doubt one of the main attractions for visitors who shared time and smiles with the Galactic Empire. The MEPD was well represented with about 5 TDs. We could not had a picture taken of us all, but, we had a great impact on the public with our dirty armors and BFGs looking for those droids!! Here are some pictures.
