In the beginning...

So I'm watching "A New Hope", and I got to thinking about the Sandtroopers. At some point, wouldn't they have to have started as clean? I know for our costume purposes, we're going for what's seen on screen, but logic would dictate that the empire didn't manufacture the TD armor with sand and grit already stuck to it.

That just begged the question while I was watching this- has anyone ever seen a clean sandtrooper?

I was just trying to picture the detachment getting set down on Tattoine- they're so dirty when we first see them, they would almost have to have been set down with dirty armor.

Deep thoughts... And hey, I'm not even drinking tonight!

Ha ha!

maby, but they look cool weathered so that was probably why that disition was made to have them weathered (the look over realism) and it ads to the look that there hard

Oh yeah, kind of like fighter jets, they just look cooler when they're dirty- looks like they WORK for a livin!!!

Another amusing thought I was having was a squad of Sandtroopers razzing their new guy because of his clean armor. :D

By logic I bet that they were as clean as a TK before receiving a deployed note to any planet of the Empire.

But picture this: You are as white as a sheet of blanket, with one day, not to mention a week to months in Mos Eisley

your armor will get dirty and weathered. Oh yeah, no doubt about that.

After all we didn't get here for tourism, we came here to recon, enforce and fight by orders of the Empire!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
