iconoclasta_88
LOL!! Well. I now have all the tools and gear to upgrade my pack and armor. Just need to get everything for building a new blaster and new TK boots (already ordered those). So... I will try to get the looks of screen used armor including gaffer's tape, brads, screws and even modify my TE2 armor to better resemble ANH armor... It is going to be a long journey, but a fun one for sure! Thx for your comments! Saludos
iconoclasta_88
A little step closer to SWAT. I secured a few meters of real film production white masking tape, black masking tape, and black gaffer's tape. This with the idea of using it in my armor, to replicate the screen used feeling all the way. Now I need some white gaffer's tape and I am done in this Area. Here is a swatch of the tapes I will be using for mi build so far: White masking tape, blue masking tape (for assembling), black electricians tape, black masking tape, black gaffer's tape. Sandman Tigui
Hermano, go for it!!! Love the duct tape resource. Guess it will be a behind the scenes build up! And maybe the Mos Eisley Santa Claus can give you the SWAT present for the Holidays Un abrazo grande!

sandtrooper
Will the molded on d-ring of the Doopy kit be acceptable for SWAT?
iconoclasta_88
Will the molded on d-ring of the Doopy kit be acceptable for SWAT? Good question... I guess as long as it looks real, it should. We go for the looks, not the function. Saludos
FIVE
Yeah, the doopy d-ring would be fine!
iconoclasta_88
Juan your almost there.Hope to see you soon. THX bro!! I plan on applying for SWAT around november or december. Lots of work ahead: -Modifying my armor to give it a more ANH look (mine is a TE2). This include working with the sealing iron on return edges and shape, upgrading brads, rivets and hooks. -Building a new E11 and maybe even a T21 -Weathering my new TK boots -Work on the weathering to give it a more ANH technique look (it already has the MOVE ALONG patterns) -If possible get a new accurate Stunt neckseal (I have a Hero now) -Use Gaffer's tape and the similar for detailing -Upgrade some stuff on my pack as radio, syphon, toolbox and ammo shells. I am currently in the process of gathering all the pieces to make this the best armor I can make. Just thinking about it makes me excited!! Will share with you all my progress... Also, have already modified my chestplate and started upgrading my pack (not done yet)... Here are some picts: Chestplate shoulder straps modified to look more ANH. Packpack upgraded with real gaffer's tape for the seedtray, zenix radio and Gordon Syphon... A bit closer!!! Saludos
